    Named it?! Not sad to ask at all - but I haven't (if I named it I'd feel utterly rotten for abandoning it for the last 13 years :rotfl: :rotfl:)

    I'd also feel bad about leaving it at some strange bloke's house to be taken to pieces and given a good seeing to this afternoon :eek:

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Have you got one?! Have you named it?? What would you name it if you had one?!

    Ooh a lot of things have names! My car is Nancy and all of my sewing machines have names too (Bridget, Dorothy and Ethel)...oh dear I am feeling odd now lol. My plants used to have names until I got upset when they died!

    I have no musical instrument other than my childhood recorder, which oddly I didn't name!

  • my harp has a name but it's not very imaginative. All my bikes have had names. My cars and vans have had names too but lately nothing imaginative either :D

    cheery I don't think it's odd leaving him/her with a man for a seeing to. My harp had a seeing to while upside down on my living room carpet, as the harp man came to me. Now that's what I call service :rotfl: :D

    enjoy your re-discovery process - if you find a good teacher it really makes it a wonderful experience. I was a music college dropout (managed a term), but after a 10 year break, I went back to it and 3 years later I am loving it. It's for me, not parental approval now, and I am having a whale of a time and loving where it is taking me :) good luck!

    Flutes are a little more portable than harps :D I'll have to think on with the themes for a name! :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Glad to hear you're enjoying it lionheartedgirl! :T :T Well done! :T

    Well, I'm exhausted. Went and did the local parkrun today - 5k timed run (free!) which happens every Saturday morning just up the road (and many other localtions round the country apparently). Haven't run with anyone else for ages, don't go out much, and haven't been well lately, no idea how far/fast I usually go, so this was a nice excuse to see how quickly (or slowly :rotfl:) I could do 5k without it being technically a 'race'

    All I'm saying is I beat the 2 year old in a fairy outfit.

    Just :rotfl: :rotfl:

    About 40 minutes I think - 4 minutes slower than the race for life I did years and YEARS ago - but a good base to build on! :T :T Will go back regularly I think and hopefully at some point will get a bit quicker :D

    Sooooooooo

    Saturday evening and I find myself with 5.5 hours to fill, all by myself :T

    Let's have a think.........

    * flylady podcast tidying up thing :T
    * food :j (I'm thinking spaghetti-and)
    * half an hour in the garden
    * cheery blog post
    * 2 hours of work (pah - but making up for time I've missed this week and it'd be nice to have whole of tomorrow off)

    That'll probably do it I think! :T Wouldn't mind squeezing in a bath - but might do that tomorrow instead.

    Best get cracking then I suppose! <yawn>
