Toots Many thanks for the info re the bathlift (as opposed to bathchair, Valli):D. I have emailed for some info.
I'm not actually in contact with the OT bods here; although I had stuff provided when I lived in Oxon, I was only even given what they decreed I could have, not what was ideal for me, so I've tended to go the route of buying stuff for myself, such as my wheelchair, scooter etc. But you're right, this needs doing soonest.:o
I love the idea of being able to fold the bathlift up and hide it away if need be; we don't ever have human guests, (perish the thought!!:eek::eek:) but I still don't like having the place look as if it's "adapted" iyswim.:o
We have another canine guest at present - Lottie the Cocker Spaniel. She's an absolute sweetie, if a few cards short of a full deck!:D She's one black dog no-one would mind sharing their life with, I'm sure.:rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
very belated report on my various HHC - child management problems scuppered my first one I'm afraid - but we have been pottering in and out of the house all day getting jobs done - lots of veg plot work done:j still got a bit more reshuffling of herbs to do - DH is just back from his second tip run :j:j:j
Inside I have s&S the bathroom, put away 50 % of the washing mountain, changed the bed and variously tidied up both the squids bedrooms and kitchen.
I am hoping to entice DH to put up a curtain rail for Joseph on monday.....We've been back in the house for over 18 months now post-renovations, and the poor boy has been sleeping in there from last christmas without a curtain - no wonder he gets up at dawn:eek::eek:
We have had rain, wind and sunshine here - currently wind and sun predominating but with ominous clouds approaching - eek! - better get the herbies sorted out toot sweet.

Boddy - hope DD is OK?
My house flying is failing miserably, but I have been "puttin off" paper stuff flying and have got "head in the sand" letters ready to post:)Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

I've eaten a pond full of frogs in the garden until a shower stopped play. Just going to have a cuppa and then water in what I'e planted.
Queen Victoria is trying to kill the bottom stair, she is in a very funny mood.
DS2 and DH made it to OT for the play-offs -great view they have too:DThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

maxonian Looks like there will be another series of Vera. We had a good chat about her books. She has a web site if you are interested and is on Twitter.
Brilliant news boddy. i love the Shetland quartet books too. I only joined twitter a month ago when I got my new phone - well tbh - DH signed me up. I don't really 'get' twitter and don't know many people who tweet. I am following 3 authors and a football club but that's about it. I will add Ann C too. If anyone would like to let me follow them - let me know?
I have not long got back from my 'do'. Very enjoyable but I am knackered.
DH has broken the washing line whilst I've been out - one of these wall mounted contraptions that the line coils back in - it won't go back in. Probably only about the 3rd time he's used it and only a year old.....hey ho.
I need to do something, but I really CBA. I might just have a nap and write today off. DH is out in lycra in a sportif (SIC) tomorrow, so I know I have the day to myself.
I want to watch the footy too.
Hmm - decisions.....
Yesterday is history
Tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift
That's why we call it 'The Present'0 -
While OH was out with pest I have filled a charity shop bag and a binbag from my room.. reshuffled some carp, buried the bed, made a mountain of washing and found some postage bags so I have now packaged 4 items for posting on Tuesday.
