Good evening everybody  I think I overdid it today, and when DH got home, I just wanted to go to bed :o (NO! not in that way :p ). I forced myself to go to choir, and was glad that I did  DH has gone out, and I'm winding down with a glass of something. Plenty to share, if you pass a glass

also walked dog and made dd a batch of turkey, sweet potato and spinach puree to freeze down. DH cooked our dinner tonight, steaks mmmm yummy :D

attempted HHG once dd had gone to bed but turned into 1 1/2 hours of me on my hands and knees picking up the shattered glass from our greenhouse door which had embedded itself into our lawn in a million tiny pieces  i still haven't finished clearing it up but my back was hurting (and I got bored) so I put a barrier round so the dog doesn't tread over it and will finish it tomorrow.

right off for some kip, hope dd doesn't wake us too many times tonight....

  • Evening all

There has been no flying here today as we were minding my nephew and then when sis and BIL had finnished at the hospital we all went out for a meal.

BIL has to wait for the swelling to go down before they can operate on him so he is to go back in 6 weks time.

DD was sent home from school with an upset stomach, so she came for something to eat with us.

I went into work to meet with the secondment officer about whether they felt it was viable for me to continue with the degree programme work are sponsering me to do and the outcome was very positive. So now I just need to phone the college and make an appointment with the course co-ordinator to discuss how I will catch up with the assigments I have missed.

Hopefully tomorrow I will have the energy to catch up on my list.

As opposed to you being stubborn as one, I suppose? [ducks]

Heh, heh...Minion hasn't done too bad a job of the upstairs bathroom. I might have her do it again, as she is the only one who really uses it much (I prefer the power shower downstairs, she will use the mixer shower or the bath instead)

Done 3 loads of washing - only got one dark load to do tomorrow when she drops off her uniform (can you believe it's half term already?) before being picked up by KH for the weekend.

Vacuumed throughout the downstairs and halfway up the stairs. Still need to mop the floor, but keep on getting distracted. I'll do the shower room floor at the same time.

Rescued a cold, wet and tired bumblebee on the back doorstep and let her rest by the back door until she was warm enough to buzz off.

Put bin out in a brief respite from the rain.

All I need to do after that is

    1. Find somewhere to relocate heap of cpra that is sitting in the living room where I used to have a coffee table (it belonged to The Bloke, so he took it with him when he departed - which was a result, because I absolutely DETESTED the thing)
    2. Find a cheap/preferably free coffee table - I quite fancy a dark stained trunk type, so I can sweep cpra into it at a moment's notice and not have to look at it . But I don't have the money, so will have to hope for a fluke there. I am NOT allowing Minion to use my bass amp as a mug stand, ever. Especially as my mug miraculously jumped out of the dishwasher and bit her before self destructing today.

    3. Go over glass and mirrors. There's quite a lot of it downstairs. Upstairs is far more traditional, but downstairs has cleaner lines - a mixture of mid wood, walnut colour, glass and chrome, IYSWIM. Plus the bass and Bodhran, as they just seem to be perfectly at home there.

    3. Also need to load the DW

    4. Vaccuming top of stairs, landing and my bedroom

    5. Change bedlinen

    6. Get some cheap flowers for my bedroom. Don't care if it's a luxury, I like it.

Think that's it. There may be some minion present purchasing, but no guarantee of that at present. She already has two T shirts stashed for her - one Ninja Kitty and one Zombie Panda (told you, mini Goth) but nowt else, seeing as there is a cinema party and the snacks and noise back here on Friday.

Hmm. Probably a bit more than I thought. Oh well, it shall keep me out of mischief over the weekend.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
