Families eh, who'd have em :rotfl:I've not heard a word from DD since she said she couldn't bring her new bloke to our house but she would visit grandparents, they haven't seen anything of her yet either, although my mum told her that my dad was starting radiotherapy wednesday and if she could get before that, to leave it until he's finished.

The landing has returned to its calm and tranquil state after one word from me to DH, which was NOW

shower screen needs unhooking and taking outside to be defurred and degrotted, but today is not the day for it.

The rest of the place is surprisingly looking like the sort of house normal people live in :rotfl:
    Sue
Do I need to eat it :o
    Can I afford the calories:eek:
have I checked for a lower calorie version:T

*Deeply ashamed at being very behind with the lists*
I fear NO flying got done yesterday - the day was taken up thusly:
Got Candy fed, taken out for a wee etc, and her box packed up; she was collected at 09:30.:o
HHYoga + brain training (I don't like to skip this if I can possibly help it):o
Made Shepherd Spy for lunch (Mr LW takes his lunch break at 12:00) and did big heap of washing up and had general tidy and S&S of kitchen.
Lunch - after which Mr LW likes us to spend the rest of his break when he's wfh, playing on the PS2. *rolleyes*
After lunch: checked emails, did online surveys, ensured spreadsheets up to date.
14:30 - Mr LW finished work, so into town to pay in dog-sitting cheque, visit Boots, Superdrug and Holland & Barrett, then over to Woburn Sands to Wyevale Garden Centre - they have a Cotton Traders franchise which Mr LW wanted to visit to try for some new jeans. No luck though,:( they didn't have his size; he's a 29" inside leg, which is very hard to come by.
Then a foray to Mr T on the way home.
Having got the shopping put away and Mr LW grabbed a cheese sarnie, he decided he wanted to go to the pub - only he won't go on his own. *rolleyes again*
    Hence.... I'm exhausted today!:(

Anyways, I've managed a bit of a catch-up, and the lists currently look like this:

Tuesday ~ Kitchen, Utility and Dining areas
    Level One
    Level Two
    Level Three
Wash windowsWindow deferred til I get the glass cleaner out when Candy's gone home; don't want to risk falling off the step-stool on top of her.
    Extras

    Declutter annexe bathroom

The house bathroom is all done, it wasn't too bad, but my rubber gloves have perished (shows how much serious cleaning I've done recently...:o) and I'm not tackling the annexe bathroom without full protection :eek: (OH works at a nuclear power station, wonder if I can get him to borrow a protective suit?? :rotfl:)

Photograph all the rings I want to sell and put them on eBay.

Going to start this now :D WM has been on, one more load and then the laundry bin is empty, but I've run out of indoor line space and it's been raining all day :(

Edit to add: I've just seen that the list today includes the study - as I don't have kids and the spare rooms are never used, I think I'm going to make that tomorrow's job, you should see the mess in here!!

    Hello ladies,

Well that's the work thing finished until Tuesday :T
However, I have heaps to do. DH is due back from Hamburg early evening, and I have no idea what to do for tea. I have potatoes and eggs but nothing 'interesting' to put with them. I shall go and have a nosey in the cupboards as I really don't want to have to go out. It's not stopped raining all day.
Tomorrow, I need to cook a curry for 20 people  which I have never done before. (The 20 people bit) Knowing me, I will have every pan and untensil known to man in use, so tomorrow will be a gonner. Saturday, i am out with said curry all day at a 'do'. Oh and I need to shop for the ingredients first.

I'm going to go and get some washing on and at least make use of the fact that the radiators are on. Yes it's that cold. Then I need to make a phone call, whilst ferreting in the cupboard for food. PLEASE I don't want to go out!

Love hugs spoons to everyone. Back later.
Think I will start the timer for half an hour. i don't want to peak by doing too much:rotfl:

  • Oh my.

I have just ordered a new sofa. (Nowt special to most, but it's the first one I've ever chosen & bought for myself).

Just as well the house is relatively tidy these days, isn't it?

    :D

(Minion is currently cleaning the upstairs bathroom that she has demolished. Including bleaching the loo. 'But I don't know how to, Mummy' [flutters eyelashes] 'That's OK darling, I'll teach you all day on your birthday instead' . 'Hmmphhhh' [plods upstairs] She will be retrieving more of her cpra from the living room next, then taking her clean washing up). I may concede that she is allowed some dinner after that point.

    Afternoon all

    Lame Wolf
    - my DH gets his jeans from Ambrose Wilson online because they do lots of leg lengths. http://www.ambrosewilson.com/shop/product/window/toplevel/show.action?LpgUid=11117793&N=4294939403

I cleaned the bathroom/toilet this morning. Then organised all the CDs into boxes to go in the sideboard. Couldn't quite fit them all in so I left out the ones I thought we wouldn't listen to as often and they're in the spare room.

Builders came in this afternoon and finished off all the little jobs and I think that's it finally over - for them. We still have to put up the curtains and pictures but that will be this weekend. Saturday morning if I've got anything to do with it;)

It's stopped raining at last so hopefully I won't get wet on the way to work.

    Ooh, thanks for this, you're a gem!:A

Debenhams and John Lewis used to do 29" leg length, with lengths going up in 2" increments - 31, 33 etc., but now they seem to have changed to 30, 32, 34 etc., and 30 is simply too long for Mr LW (he's quite fussy, too).

I've bookmarked the site, and will get him to take a look over the coming weekend.

ETA: Actually, I'm going to be a bit more proactive than that; I've called up his exact size; I'll send the result to his email inbox, and he can have a quick look at least when he does his email tonight.

Might sound silly, but it only cost me a couple of pound to take a boyfriend's trousers to a proper tailor to be shortened. The poor dear was an inch too short for short fitting suit trousers and his arms an inch too short for the matching jacket. The job they did was fantastic - the alterations were completely invisible and meant he could attend his father's funeral not looking like an 11 year old on his first day of big school :)
