I just had a text from school saying DD3 missed morning registration so I sent one back saying 'I think you will find that she was there as she joined her class as the filed into school!' ... Idiots.. can't let ou know when half the school is shut but can send stupid texts out saying a child isn't there when you know full well that they are.. clowns!

Mrs Chaos excuse my french but that is bloody annoying of DH! but there are ways of getting it out of him - ask him to pick up odd things from the supermarket on his way home from work and make sure you dont pay him - borrow (and forget to pay back) change for parking - make sure he always buys the drinks if you are out- if you need lunch money or pocket money for the boys again 'borrow' from him because you have no change - leave the car with very little fuel in it when he is about to use it - if he queries it then you can tell him to use his bowling allowance!

    RANT ALERT
Also, I'm hopping mad. DH hardly ever uses the car and I have a budget for fuel, as I use it just about every day. However, during the bowling season the usage goes up quite a bit and I just found out today that he gets a contribution for fuel whenever he gives a team member a lift (£2 per person - it's an agreement within the whole team). Guess who doesn't get any of the money! I don't want to make a profit from it, but a bit extra to make up for the additional miles would be nice. In my opinion I shouldn't have to ask! Rant over.
And he has just been pocketing it??????
I wouldn't bother finding other ways to get the money - I would be telling him that I expected 'fuel' money to put 'fuel' in the tank:mad:

Early start this morning (well early for me) Dr. at 8.50 meant bus at 7.50 - however I was good and came straight home after:D

Finished moving bits round and tidying study. Think I will leave the rooms as they are for the moment.

Weather report - wind has died down - mainly sunny - however a tree came down a few streets away:eek: actually they seem to have been lucky - the trunk is across the garden and the top branches against the house - just a bit of gutter and maybe tile damage.
Then I spotted that one of the trees in my street has lifted a bit and cracked the tarmac - other side of the road which is a relief.

Suppose I need to make a plan for rest of day.

In my (longer than) HHC I washed up, started wiping down the kitchen, located DDs presents and put the phone on charge and emptied, cleaned & re-organised my 'plastic pot' cupboard :j This one has been driving me mad! Why does everyone know where to find a plastic pot of a certain size, but seem incapable of being able to find it's place when putting away  God help anyone that messes it up!!
Washing has finished, so off to hang that out. Then it's a cuppa before I starty baking the cake :D

Nightmare!! I don't have the recipe, 'cos DD1 has taken it to uni with her  It's a tried & tested recipe from my uncle's 2nd wife (known in this family as the cake ninja, for her baking skills!). It was handwritten on a scrap of paper :(

I am now searching the recipe books for something similar :o

Posting first and reading after because it's nearly time to start cooking.

    Afternoon

Much warmer today, I've already dried my washing and put it away. I love that.

Today I've got furniture in my living room and cushions on the settee and even a couple of ornaments. The pictures will have to go up at the weekend because I don't do climbing up on things and DH needs someone to tell him "right hand up, left hand down" and pass the hammer.....

I've vacuumed right through downstairs and washed the kitchen floor. Loads of cardboard to go out for recycling today and I had lots of little polystyrene flakes to hoover up.

Hope everyone's OK, I'm going to try to catch up a bit now.
