Morning, hope everyone survived the wind :eek::eek::eek: We ended up with no power for an hour and a half - it went off the moment OH switched the oven on and came back on just as we finished the omelettes he cooked on the camping stove  (He remembered we had one after an unsuccessful attempt to fry chorizo on top of the woodburner!)
The kitchen isn't that bad because it's OH's domain. The dining room, however, has been used as a storage room for the contents of the bathroom while we refurbished it and the little porch (which I'm going to count as a utility, it's a boot room basically) is a mess. So, today's jobs for me:
- sweep and mop kitchen floor
- wipe down worksurfaces
- declutter and tidy up the porch
- flatten cardboard in dining room
- declutter sideboard and dust it
- hoover any visible floor in the dining room and porch (sorry, Junior Dog!)0 -

Morning All
Loads to do as usual but AF's arrived so I'm feeling a bit yuck. WI tonight and then I think that's it for the night although DD may be having a friend over. I want to try and get everyone ready to leave by about 7.45 as it's my dad's birthday today and we haven't dropped his things off and he's going away at lunchtime.
So far I've put washing on the line and reloaded the WM.
Don't forget to bake chocolate cake - can't remember who so everyone'll have to bake some.
Piggers - get that SC on - pref with gammon and pork in!
Have a good day all
Hugs

Wm x 2 done, kids breakfast done
HHC 7.30 otherwise I need a mule flinging at me.
Have to be at a course by 10am after missing 1st week due to poorly boy0 -
Breakfast eaten. Need to pack for today, then shower, and then see how much work I can get done before I have to leave (10.30). I have to stop drinking water at 10am which isn't going to be fun, but they're taking me in 2 hours early so I can go on a drip to keep hydrated and avoid migraine. I'm hoping OH will stay with me for a bit so we can do some work otherwise I will be very, very bored!
So no flying here today except keeping things from getting worse. Might also see whether I can get a few frogs dealt with....0 -
Good morning all xx
Slept late this morning, but I have cleared out a load of empty boxes from the attic and they are outside waiting for the recycling blokes, as is a telly that is no good to us(haven't put it in the bin as thought if someone passing wanted it, they could just have it). Got 2 black bags of clothes to take to school for collection as well.
Still not sure what is happening with Mum's fights so will plod on till I know!! xx0 -

Tooch - I'm pretty sure you can't put TVs in the bin anymore as if it is an old CRT it will be hazardous waste and has to go to the tip as an electrical item to be safely recycled. It's a while since I worked in this area but I'm pretty sure the WEEE directive applies to consumer waste as well, and that your council can't collect it with ordinary waste but have to provide separate facilities. A lot of places now have quarterly collections of electronic waste.0

Thanks Greenbee, it's not a CRT telly, and I'm hoping that someone will pick it up if they want it. I know someone who used to work on the bins and they used to take some stuff if they wanted it or if it looked good(probably shouldn't have but still recycling!!!) If it is still there when I get back I will find out what to do with it, Thanks xx
School run.........
School run done, 2 more bags gone, now waiting for news on Mum's flight...left at 6:30 UK time, yet no info on the website!!
Will have a cuppa and then need to make a move(check Mum's, get diesel and then off to the airport)..xx0
