Sometimes having a child ( and due to childcare issues ) means making compromises on your career until the child is old enough to fend for themselves

There are priorities in life, I always used to think how I couldn't wait to have a real job and the progression and money that comes with it, but now i'm having a child, I couldn't care less, as long as there is enough money coming in for us to survive, that's good enough for me.

At the end of the day, an employer or your customers / clients will replace you at the drop of a hat. A child won't.

I hope, I really REALLY hope, you have got some sort of weird, twisted sense of humour.

If not, you don't deserve anything, and I literally mean ANYTHING.

Clearly if that is your attitude towards your child, your child will be much better off with just his father. It will be the next board along that you will be needing now - the child support one.

My partner works shifts as a coach driver for national express he does 10 hour days starting anytime from 4am finishing up to 2am. He works a different shift pattern and different days each week.

Is this the same dad who works shifts and different days each week or is he not the childs father?

If so how on earth do you think he could look after the child and work?

Getting any "free" money towards childcare costs is a bonus! I'm glad that the support is there don't get me wrong but I really cannot get my head around the posts I read where people are kicking up because the government won't pay them what they want towards their child. Surely, anything is better then nothing when its our choice to have children?
