Bit of a rant about having to pay for delivery

I wonder why they don't just put an extra £40 on their prices, and then boast free delivery.:heartpulsSpoiling my two baby girls with love - it's free and it's fun!:heartpuls
I'm not very good at succinct. Why say something in 10 words when 100 will do?

never thought though i'd ever hear the words "bensons beds..and cheap"We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

When i ordered from Bensons last week, i was allowed to pick up the bed frame and mattress.3.78 kWp PV SolarEdge with iBoost South facing.

I see what you mean, I would be annoyed if I had to spend an extra 40 quid on compulsory delivery. Stupid H&S rubbish.
The OP did not have to pay anything. He chose to buy from there, nobody forced him.I wonder why they don't just put an extra £40 on their prices, and then boast free delivery.
Because the headline price would be £40 more, and people are stupid enough to use that as a point of comparison as opposed to the true cost.Gone ... or have I?0 -

Really!! I think I might email them and ask if I place an order in store can I pick it up from there. If they say yes then I'll complain about being told we couldn't and had to pay £37.50.If At First You Don't Succeed, Call It Version 1.00 -
But if its impossible to buy for less than £137.50 Then that should be the price its advertised at.“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0

LOL, I agree i would have been a bit annoyed if i also have to spend that much extra.Jan Wins: .0 -
This is another example of health and safety being used inappropriately to justify something. It seems today if a company doesn't want to agree to something they hide behind either the data protection act or the health and safety legislation.0

I think its case of the store trying to make the item look cheap only well you take the over cost is the true value. I think they use H&S as a excuse much like companies also do sometimes (but not always) with data protection when it suits them0

£37.50 is a bit extreme, I would have gone elsewhere.
If I had been given that excuse, I would definitely go elsewhere, biggest load of rubbish I have heard!0
