    On old Escorts, the curry smell usually meant the heater matrix was leaking coolant into the carpet IIRC.
    Worth lifting the carpets and checking for damp?

    Could well be this then - I believe the 1.6T Corsa can suffer from coolant related issues....

    I believe it'll be used - Vauxhall no longer produce a 1.6T SRI
