So, how does that make me a thief? Is it my fault that Welcome have failed to collect the car? Is it my fault that Welcome or Lewis have failed to make contact regarding the outstanding finance?
So you're saying its been sitting on your drive for the last 3 years, un-used, un-insured, un-taxed and in exactly the same condition as it was when they defaulted you?? Of course it isnt. You've been driving it all this time and getting the use of it for free. That's what erks the decent people on here as we all pay for the things we want, rather than stealing them.
If you're that interested in finding out what to do about it, phone welcome yourself and ask them, as they are the only people who can tell you. But you can't can you? As deep down you obviously want to keep using the motor for free.

Yeah, been driving it all this time....
Not stolen the car, but then if I take the advice given on another forum and follow through with the action advised, regarding the ineffective default, termination, hidden commission, to name but a few, I get the car for, basically, free.
If it irks some of you on here, even better. Because, how I see it, if my agreement isn't worth the paper its written on, and the default notices etc, likewise, you expect people to overlook such minor details and pay what they owe.

It may not be morally right, but with a company like I don't really care.

Contact Welcome now, with all your details, name, address and loan/finance details from the original deal. Ask them what they want YOU to do and what else they need from you. That should solve the problem you have of not knowing what to do about the car. Simples.

Now there is an alien concept!

lol you won't get "away with it" believe me, no matter how much you think right now you have. You will be caught up with and will regret being silly over this. But with an attitude like yours I don't really care :money:

    Its not only morally wrong.....

In English law, theft was codified into a statutory offence in the Theft Act 1968 which defines it as:
"A person is guilty of theft, if he dishonestly appropriates property belonging to another with the intention of permanently depriving the other of it". (Section 1).

    Its theft.
