    You know that little voice that thinks "I should've said that"? Just SAY IT!

    Be fair but firm.
    Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
    Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

    No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

    If it's just a one off, even if it's not their job to fetch and carry stuff for you, I can't see why anyone would object to pick up some extra stuff if they were making the journey anyway and were asked politely.

    I'd assume there is something else that is !!!!ing them off. Why don't you ask them what the problem is? It might even not be anything to do with you, they could be annoyed at the company for something and taking it out on you because they view you as a representative of the company, there is really no way of knowing unless you ask.
