Well it sort of has and it hasn't.

They've agreed I don't owe the money (again).

Now it looks as though they were taking money from my pre-payment meter to recover "the debt". So in effect they were charging me twice for a debt that I hadn't even accrued.

Have been offered £50 for my phone calls which barely covers the last month let alone three years.

Claire is apparently giving me a phone call this afternnon. So still waiting....

It hasn't been sorted until it is sorted.

You have been told before that you don't owe them anything, but they went back on that.

You have been told in this forum that they will contact you, but they haven't.

You have been told by their executive office that you shouldn't be dealing with people who contact you through this forum, but they haven't sorted it out either.

If you want it sorted then contact the ombudsman.

    Hiya d.ross:wave:

    Just got off the phone.
Claire rang to say the debt has defenitely been cleared. However, they found an outstanding balance on the Gas supply as well:eek: That has been cleared too (apparently) was always on a card meter for the Gas so I don't know where that one came from:rotfl::rotfl:
She came with the offer of £50 compensation. I told her I thought after all the problems I had that that was a derisory amount.
Still waiting for the account to come back then they can pass it on to their accounts department for "review". Which will take up to fourteen working days:rotfl::rotfl:
Then, they will send me a final response.
Then I can take it to the energy ombudsman if I am unhappy with the review.
    What a palava!!!

The ombudsman is Energywatch (unless it's changed since I left npower's employ ;-) ).

Finally! My "debt" has been cleared and have agreed on £250 compensation.
    What a relief :beer::beer:
I'm sure if it wasn't for this site and Sally (npower rep) helping to push on my complaint would still be trundling along.
Thanks to Claire at the executive complaints team for keeping me updated and her work.

However, would not ever go back or recommend npower to anyone:cool:
