There are lots of posts about Ipod, but Creative Zen jukebox appears to be better spec and price. Am I missing something??

  • yes i know whatyou mean, i've been umminh and ahhing over the two for ages. the reviews on amazon are good and mostly inf avour of the zen - partiulalry cos you can just buy a new battery if needs be, where as you have to , i think, send away your ipod, apparently the ipod is also flimsier than the zen...buts its just so pretty!! BUT john lewis are selling ipod minis at £125 (!) at the moment too, someone has sent me a £10 off voucher too, you can pm me if you want it, and the zen doesnt seem to be dropping in price...

We have finally plunged for a Zen Touch 20gb. Ordered it from BT.com with a 10% off code from the online discounts forum. It was £165 before discount, free p+p.

My mate has a Zen jukebox and is really pleased with it, she's had it for ages, and is not easily pleased, lol.

  • The spare battery isn't available everywhere though - I ordered a silver and a blue one from boots over the past month and the silver did not come with an extra battery. It's a limited edition offer and not with every colour
  • I have had the Zen 20gb Touch since the new year. I can highly recommend it. Its so easy to use. The battery life is excellent. I had no problems with downloading music onto it even with my OAP computer. Didnt like the software that came with it but it works like a dream with Windows Media Player. I have used it with USB 1 and 2 and the speed of transfer on USB 2 is very fast. I wouldnt touch an ipod with a barge pole. Check out all the reviewers on Amazon for both units. It kind of made my decision for me

I'd go for a Zen everytime.

I own a Zen Jukebox Xtra (60GB) and find it so much easier to use than an iPod in everyway from navigation to iPod's insistance on using iTunes. Creative also tend to offer good support on their products with regular updates and helpful customer service (from my experience)

can you get anything like the i skin for creative products, basically to stop them getting wrecked? also, does anyone know what speakers you can use, or if theres a docking station available for the zen?

I bought a Creative Zen micro 5gb last week. Have signed up for Napster to Go free trial but am prompted to download firmware update before I can drag all the tracks straight onto the zen without having to purchase. Have updated firmware but still have this problem, also get a message stating that Napster to Go doesn't support the Creative Zen micro which I've bought.

Has anybody else had these problems? Please help....

    Thanks.
