acutually the 1800 is about the price of what they go for on that year. high mileage ones a bit cheaper, 2003 crd on piston heads for £2200 with 80k.
look about if thats what you want dont go jumping into the first one you see, he's asking a tad much but he's on the mark dealer price wise or there abouts.0 -

 What has GM got to do with it?
i always thought that Crysler were part of the GM group.
That was certainly the impression i have.
Happy to be corrected and all that.0 -

Know the voyager 2001-2008 has a VM diesel engine, dont know about the rest of the diesels used though or anything newer than 2008 or if the older 2.5 was a VM just not common rail.
Did the cruisers have a GM diesel? Not familiar with them so cant say, just assumed it would be VM too.
Edited again to add I'm not saying VM diesels are good, used in boats apparently make a good anchor and not much else.0 -

Never had a problem with parts. Local motor factor can get almost anything we ask for at no more cost than our old vauxhall, and as the diesel engine is mercedes you can also get parts from them.
I'd have another tomorrow. Great family car and a bit different from anything else on the road.
2.2 CRD owner since 2008. Done 25k. Had a clutch due to an oil leak. Other than that- only consumables. Diesel engine is from mercedes benz. Chrysler now part of the Fiat group."In times of universal deceit, telling the truth will be a revolutionary act. "

The diesel in the Voyager was, i think, VM when it was a 2.5, but not sure it was still a VM when it became 2.8, though it was still a rough old !!!!!!, didn't sound like a Merc.
The CRD engine in the PT was always a Merc engine though, and as i have already said is the only PT I would have.
I just thought the early 2.4 engine was a GM engine since I had initially incorrectly thought Chrysler was part of the GM group, but it is obviously part of Jeep, and maybe Chevrolet?
I do know that the earlier 2.4 was not well thought of in the trade, but I know nothing about the 2.0 petrol.0 -
Think the 2.8 is just the same engine as I've bought specialist tools for our 2.5 that do the 2.8.
When I needed rockers, they were listed as 2.5/2.8 as was the water pump and gaskets0 -
not sure about the early voyagers, at that stage they were running with early applications that were in the alpha/rover rang rover mitsi in the early 1980's-90's they used the VM engine in the 3.0+v6 2007 model voyager.0

Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep were part of the Daimler Benz family who then sold them to Fiat. Nothing to do with GM.
The new Chrylser 300 diesel has a 3.2 litre VM diesel engine. Apparently it is very good. Incidentally, the car will be badged as a Lancia in Europe.
I have experience of three VM engined cars, a Rover 800 that was insanely quick, a 6 cyl Ferret scout car that was quite quick and a Range Rover that wasn't quick at all (I still have the engine out of the latter if anyone is interested.)0 -

£40 for a water pump compared to £185 for the CRD. Sure the engine still VM.
Gloom, did the 825 have a VM engine?0 -

Yes. Very quick in a straight line but hideous understeer. I think there was something wrong with mine. It only did about 25 to the gallon but would leave black lines on the tarmac in fifth gear. I took it back to the dealer but they said there was nothing they could do.0
