£10 Tesco Meal deal for £4.07

You took the words out of my keyboard !
Dont see why you wouldnt get the £5.93 * 2, lots of people make mistakes, I wish they would adopt your attitude, therefore bringing less attention to the glitch & themselves.
I check ASDA & Ts website before I go EVERY time, mainly so I dont end up in your situation (I dont mean pregnant !)
If I keep going back and resubmitting will this count against me on the 10 receipts a month?
Thanks0 -

Is there a number or email that you can contact them on to check! Just very annoying now!
Thanks
I don't think the helpline people at Tesco actually know what the word 'help' means !!! So probably a waste of effort calling them.
You could try changing the receipt time slightly by 1 minute (doubt this would be spotted by the CA and several people have had success with that trick). Or, change by 12 hours eg change 14.30 to 2.30 - that has apparently worked in the past.ELITE 5:2

It will freeze but will probably come out a bit 'crumbly' when you defrost it. I've got 2 packs in my freezer.ELITE 5:2

I've used all the tricks but still no voucher from Friday. :mad:0 -
OK, I've now read through all 35 pages and have a few questions
1) people refer to DTD vouchers. Are these still available at CS?
2) other people have said 'check the barcode' to be sure about an item being in the meal deal. Check where? My store doesn't have barcode readers.
3) some people have said you can get a main with 2 side dishes if you don't fancy the puds on offer (and vice versa). Is that just luck in that particular store? I mean, the Tesco deal refers to 1 main+ 1 side + 1 dessert + 1 wine.
4) what is the SEL?
5) someone has mentioned doing a till split. What is that?
6) the actual voucher that is the difference between Asda + Tesco, how do you get that? Do you have to print it out at home or cal at CS instore?0 -
I find it easier to be argumentative via email! Lol, why not send a friendly email to customer services explaining that you bought the product which was in the chiller section under the meal deal banner but this was not actually part of the deal when you got home. Explain that you're pregnant and on instructions to rest from your doctor (white lies!) and therefore don't want to trail back to store but explain you were very disappointed and feel cheated. Then see if they email you offering a voucher- you're not being rude or drawing attention to the glitch and it's easier to email than argue with CS desk xxx
lol! - thats an idea Nuttygal - got a bit of time on my hands at the mo so may give it a go - thanks for the suggestion.:D0 -

These are emailed to you after you punch in the numbers at the bottom your receipt see here

I used self check out, i scanned 1 side, 1 main, 1 dessert and 1 wine. The wine will have a warning cos you need staff to confirm you are over 25 yrs old. Then press next and then go back.. you will see it will have deducted all the discount and ask for £10. This shows your store works!

I wish i knew this earlier, but i havent tried.. others can confirm
4) what is the SEL?
Shelf Edge Label
5) someone has mentioned doing a till split. What is that?
Since Tesco have capped their vouchers at £20.. 3 meal deals = £17ish... 4th meal deal will take you over the £20+ capped limit. So split your meal deals to side, main, dessert, wine x3 per receipt

e-mail and take it in store0 -

Cheese freezes fine, like the other posters says maybe a bit crumbly when you defrost and use it.
Didn't think you can freeze the brie though l've jsut googled and you can, you learn something new everyday
Just been to Kings Lynn Tesco and confused the poor checkout girl, we picked uop Chicken kievs finest that had been put in the meal deal section, anyway all sorted and submitted our receipts.
If this isn't pulled tomorrow l'm off to get some more, thanks OP x

Just rang customer services and they said they have a huge backlog on the price checker (Wonder if it it all the meal deals!!) and it is 36 working hours not 36 hours so she said I should get it by tomorrow!!
Fingers crossed I still get it! Not sure if to get another one today as was hoping to find out about Fridays first!0 -

1)No, they refer to the DTD promotion vouchers before T changed it to just the difference...
2)+4)Barcode should be on the SEL(shelf edge label)
3)didn't try but if it does it should be in all stores
5)till spit is a voucher you get printed with your receipt(sometimes) like 6GBP off 60GBP spend or if you mean to split your shop(do couple of separate transactions so you don't exceed the 20GBP return for one shop)
6)you input your receipt details into the price checker and print your voucher next day(in most cases)
