:oNot very - 8 and half months pregnant so too tired to argue.
Will put this one down to experience I reckon and suck up the loss - just hope they give me a voucher for the 2 bottles of Turners Chardonnay
You took the words out of my keyboard !
Dont see why you wouldnt get the £5.93 * 2, lots of people make mistakes, I wish they would adopt your attitude, therefore bringing less attention to the glitch & themselves.
I check ASDA & Ts website before I go EVERY time, mainly so I dont end up in your situation (I dont mean pregnant !)

Re-enter the receipt details and, if it doesn't produce the voucher immediately, press the back arrow up on the task bar at the top to go back to the previous page and then click on 'Submit' again. Often this kicks the voucher out (you may have to try several times) especially if you are using Explorer as you browser. Worth a try anyway.

Thanks just tried this 10 times and still no luck! Think it does not like me!

Is there a number or email that you can contact them on to check! Just very annoying now!

    Thanks

I find it easier to be argumentative via email! Lol, why not send a friendly email to customer services explaining that you bought the product which was in the chiller section under the meal deal banner but this was not actually part of the deal when you got home. Explain that you're pregnant and on instructions to rest from your doctor (white lies!) and therefore don't want to trail back to store but explain you were very disappointed and feel cheated. Then see if they email you offering a voucher- you're not being rude or drawing attention to the glitch and it's easier to email than argue with CS desk xxx
Please remember to thank fellow MSE'rs

Aw, i didnt want to risk not getting the deal through since everyone is getting stupid Tesco excuses of "store specific"... so i stuck with the cabinet.

Thanks for letting me know that you went to pick up the meatballs elsewhere and it went through. I wanna go and buy the hamhock pies now :rotfl:

Yes i definitely got the ham hock pies today and they went through fine. I had to go to the wine aisle to get the wine as it wasn't in the chiller with the other wines. Bit naughty really if it's in the deal!:)
  • So, imagine the scene, I’m driving to Tesco, my first ever DTD vouchers tucked safely in my handbag (£11.86 each, I wonder what they were from:p). I’m almost there when the traffic lights turn red….no..... it’s a four way junction, by the time they go green someone else might have bought all the Turners:rotfl:. By now I’m having palpitations….I know I need to get out more! Eventually the lights turn green, I manage to park safely despite the palpitations and grab myself a trolley. I make my way down the bank of tills on my way to the wine aisle …….my mind is playing tricks..has that staff member just emptied the shelf of Turners……no, thank goodness..it was just another MSE’er buying 8 bottles!:rotfl:
I choose six meal deals and approach the till (don't panic I paid for them in two transactions!), snotty biddy on the till says ‘hummpp, I didn’t think Tesco were doing these vouchers anymore, how did you get them? Err, they are not for double the difference they are just the difference between Tesco price and Asda price. Snotty moo, then says well they are going to stop this very soon as they must be losing loads of money (must be lovely to be so happy in your job, anyway all this and she didn’t even know what my voucher was for – god forbid she realised I was only paying £4.07 for a meal deal).:eek::eek:
Anyway, because she was so snotty I thought stuff Tesco, went back in and bought another 6 deals!:o
Lets hope the new vouchers come in soon and without a hitch.
In the mean time, anyone for a dinner party?

Hi, can I just ask a question about duplicate items on the price check? If you buy more than one item e.g. if I wanted to buy 4 of the hawaiian pizzas that Dr Who-who mentioned, will I get the difference back on all 4 of the items or is there a limit? For those buying 3 meal deals in 1 go, can you buy 3 identical sets of meals (yes)? Thanks! BDJ x

BDJ, don't buy more than 2 of Dr. Oetker on each transaction - buy 1 (T) cost you £2.79 if you buy 2 it cost you £4.00. Less return as Asda selling : £1.00 each.

Oh dear, I have resisted doing the meal deal since last thursday then my partner said to me "can you pick up tea for tonight" and I have somehow ended up with 3 meal deals (on seperate receipts).

Ham Hock pies, ham and cheese kiev things, lasagne, cheese, 4 chocolate puddings and 3 bottles of wine!

All scanned at the tills perfect, now await the receipts!

    :D:D:D

You could have put all 3 deals on the same reciept .(3 maximum) Hope the wine was Turners .
Never pay more than you have too

P.s - the ham hock pies were in the cabinet in our store.... also when I went on Saturday, I couldn't find the meatballs I wanted in the meal deal display and an SA tried to tell me that if it wasn't in the display, it was no longer in the promotion and all stores had their own items on meal deal promotion. I just agreed with her and went off in search of some finest meatballs in main aisle... found them, went off to wine aisle for Turner Road Chardonnay and hey presto - meal deal went through!! Have faith! I just pick a friendly till lady and say "can you just check I have picked up the right meal deal items for the £10 meal deal - I am not too sure??!! " & smile innocently... worked for me!
