I bought the meal deal with one of each of the wines and have posted to the tesco price check thingie so should have my voucher back soon. I know a couple of people have asked about the merlot and I looked on mysupermarket.co.uk which shows that the merlot is the same price as the Chardonnay in asda ... hope that helps !
Also got the half price discovery torillias down to 29p each with the 50p off voucher in the tesco magazine... best before date in October... so i'll be going back for more!
Loving this forum ... by the way0 -
The mushrooms didn't work for me today. They also show the parsnip mash as in the deal online but the one that works is the cheddar.0

Interesting. Because my chicken and the wine were both not in the deal section - but worked.
Missing the point there Stebiz - point being that the best guide is online with the iconAdd 1 Main + 1 Side + 1 Dessert +... valid from 18/5/2011 until 7/6/2011
Has your chicken got it? Wine definitely has so doesn't really matter whether the store shelf stackers put it in the right section or not, it'll still scan as meal deal.0 -

Proves my point

No deal icon even though it still looks as if it's in the meal deal.
Tesco cheats

So far so good, just been to pick up two sets of these from my local Metro store. The wine was nowhere to be seen near the meal deal section but I found the chardonnay quite quickly in the spirits aisle. No merlot though
I got the chicken pies, green veg, cheese selection on one and the cheddar mash, chocolate puddings and chicken pastries on the other. Asked for separate receipts to be safe and it all scanned fine. Submitted now and just waiting for my vouchers to go and grab another one tomorrow hopefully!0 -
All the same meal deals, just not displayed.
Not true! Went to my local extra, chiller section with what should be meal deal items in, no SEL showing any sign of an offer. Went ahead and get it anyway. All went through at full price  Said I thought there was an offer, SA called supervisor who went to check, he even checked with manager as I insisted the offer is online. Manager said they haven't got a meal deal on at the moment! GRRR!!! :mad:0 -
The website is seriously misleading. Under the meal deal header
Tesco have put plenty of items that are NOT included in the meal deal.
Tesco cheating again.0 -

I think I have nailed it. Your meal deal WOULD have gone through if you had only bought items with following icon onlineAdd 1 Main + 1 Side + 1 Dessert +... valid from 18/5/2011 until 7/6/2011
Have a look http://www.tesco.com/groceries/ProductBuylist/default.aspx?id=L00000444
Did you include any items without that icon?0 -
Sent OH in to get the deal after work. He came home with the 2 x lemon chicken pastries (not happy with that as I wont eat them...cant eat onions), 2 cheddar mash, 2 belgian choc puds, 2 x Turner rd chardonnay. Total £20.
Am happy if I get a voucher back tomorrow, not overly happy about 2 mains I cant eat. Please God, help me stop spending!0 -
I rushed over today and got 5 deals - so will last me well over 5 days with the expiry dates and splitting up the items - and I got 5 bottles of the chardonnay too! They will be drunk/given as gifts etc.
Then I thought that I should have just got 6 and then that would have given me 5% off the wine - but would that then continue on to the meal deal? Or no?
Probably not me thinks - that'd be two gliches at once and that'd be too much to ask for?
I did get my £5 off a £40 spend off though, and I spent up to £50 to get my 5p off a litre (worth £3.60 on my car when I fill it up!)
So reckon with my refund it'll be
£10 meal deal x £5 = £50
less refund of difference = -£29.65
less £5 Morrison Voucher = -£5
= Actual Total = £15.35 (£3.07 per meal deal)
(and my 100 club card points and my £3.60ish petrol voucher)
and I got 2 razors in a seperate shop for 75p each
So £120 worth of goods for £15.35
Gona crack open a bottle of wine and enjoy it in celebration tonight!:AI miss using my infinite coupons at Tesco!
2010 was the worst year ever
But 2011 so far has been a lot of fun! :j
