Managed to do this yesterday, and even had the vegetarian lasagne all to myself for tea last night.

Annoying thing is, my lift is going on holiday on Saturday, so limits my visits even more :(

Can we back track a bit here please?

What is a till spit? And if I have been reading correctly, are you seasoned MSE'ers saying that I can take two baskets through a checkout (say with 2 mealdeals in each therefore £20 per basket, so total spend of £40) and use one of the Tesco '£4 off your shopping of £40' vouchers??????? Even though it's two separate totals (one for me and one for the shopping of my dear old mum )

It worked! Thank you all for the help you've given. i got my email voucher today, and luckily had kept my receipt!

Back tonight for another, and for 3 boxes of Krave too! I've warned bf (who is going to get these) to pay full price if requested and then go to CS. And also to go thru the self serve to avoid a human 'correcting' the price!

    What is Krave?

    Ignore that - found it!!

A till spit is something that comes out of the printer that is not a receipt. In Sainsbury's it's a separate printer, in Tesco and Asda they come out of the same one as your receipt. It's a promotion, like 5p off Petrol, or £2 off the next time you spend £20 etc.

And as far as the 2 x baskets goes; simply, no. You can buy two lots of £20, buy you can't use the spit unless paying for them both on one receipt.

    HTH
I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

For "finest" meal deals I'm kinda surprised that Tesco don't use British chicken, it states on the pack its made in the UK from EU chicken.

I understand this could be British (as we are part of the EU) but I suspect its not, otherwise they would proudly mention it I guess.

I've just looked on the Tesco website and it says MealDeal not available.

I guess that means its finished??? (Don't normally buy these so no idea how long the promotion runs).
