i think we could do a few weeks, if it was a case of starving to death we probably have enough to last a couple of months. but this would be the stuff no one wants to eat !!!!

M-m-m-m-m a few weeks with what I call proper meals & maybe a coupla months on just pasta with a sauce mix or something. You know what I have a holiday coming up shortly & want to save, so I may just try it.

Since I've started to buy anything on offer in 3 packs I think we would survive about a month. With fairly varied diet as well. The only problem would be milk which my OH cannot live without, I don't have space to have one frozen and he won't touch UHT milk..
Though I am sure after a week he would drink even dried milk in his tea:-) Which I do have in cupboard due to bread maker.

Absolutely ages but I would miss fresh stuff like salad. have tons of batchcooked portions of things in freezer along with lots of whoopsied chicken and fishcakes. Also got loads of pasta and lidl pasta sauce which was reduced on a weekend offer not that long ago. Also lots of reduced bread to defrost. MMMmmmmm is it good to have back up or better to eat it??? Not sure!!

I tend to go food shopping when I'm down to about 3 items (provided it's close to a weekend), I like to finish everything off rather than leaving it for months.

I reckon no more than 3-4 days if we wanted proper meals.

That would encompass most of the slop I produce here anyway! :rotfl:

I honestly think it depends a lot on peoples equipment etc, we used to have a freezer that could take a bag of frozen peas, and a family size home-made lasagne and that was it, it was full. Now, it's slightly bigger, but still a lot smaller than most, as is our fridge (the smallest combined model we could get) purely because you can't swing a cat in our kitchen, and we don't have anywhere else to put a bigger freezer. So there is no real way that we can stock up on frozen things, and the lack of space means there is limited room for tinned goods too. We are due to shop Tuesday, eating properly we could probably make it to Wednesday, and to Friday if we ate all the random combinations of food that was left over.

Lol. We always joke about this, my OH works for Tesco and always gets 'bits' for knock-down prices. e.g. today he got 1 x 5kg basmati rice for about 50p! These things just end up in our larder.
I rekon we could eat comfortably for about 2 months!

this time of the year we could go for a couple of months with the exception of milk as we have plenty of veg growing and hens for eggs and if needed meat and i am a terrible hoarder and the cupboards are full also i have about 100 jars of preserves and dried fruit and veg from our own produce still from last year so we would not starve
