This was my first venture with quidco - what does this mean? how do i check whether my visits were tracked? Thanks

Hi hun wen you click on Make a Claim and choose Tesco Bank Life Insurance it then goes to the next page where it states all the times you used the link to access Tesco and you then choose the one that should have tracked.
If anyone else can word this better please do help me out!

I show as having 2 referrals, but don't know which one I then went on to take out the policy - they were only within 30 mins or so of each other - do you know if it makes any real difference?
And what are people putting as their policy number? I don't have mine yet - just the application reference number

    thanks!

It won't make any difference in relation to the time. But choose the first anyway. As for the policy no. it is on the pack they sent you.

    Hi,

Tesco has seen this thread and brought it to our attention. To say the company is dismayed by some of the posts on here is putting it mildly, and they withdrew their offer on Quidco last Friday when they read it.

This has been a very disappointing experience for us and it’s affected customers who were wanting to genuinely take out life insurance cover. It has also damaged our relationship with Tesco, and jeopardised future offers for everyone, including the launch of other general insurance and banking products.

We were particularly alarmed to see advice being given on here to give false personal information on the insurance application form, to keep the premium down until such time as the policy was cancelled once the cashback had been received. There is no insurance provider around who would not take a very serious view of this, especially as insurance application forms have to be signed by the customer to state that true and accurate information has been supplied. Cashback is a reward from merchants, given in good faith, for a purchase of their goods or services - it’s not there to be used fraudulently.

In the meantime, Tesco has asked us to advise you that if your purchase hasn’t tracked and you can confirm that you are a genuine customer who has put accurate and true information on your application form, then you must raise a missing cashback claim and they will investigate each claim on an individual basis. If you feel you do not meet these criteria we would advise you to cancel the policy immediately.

We sincerely apologise to any genuine customers who have been affected by this, and to any of you out there who were looking for life insurance and considering Tesco’s generous offer. It is unfortunate that the actions of a few people have affected the honest majority of customers.

As a cashback provider, we have a duty of care to all of our customers and also to the merchants on our site. Issues like this result in cashback being withdrawn and we have to take this type of situation very seriously.

Thanks - Dominic Head of Customer Care

Well, well. I am not sure who is the culprit hear. Tesco and Quidco have advertized a deal atracting a flud of customers to sign for an insurance policy on certain conditions, namely £50 cashback + £50 Tesco voucher. Customers have signed in according to the T&C at the time. Then Tesco and Quidco accept the business but decline the cashback, in breach of their original offer. It's more likely they have just realised they have made a mistake in their T&C and are looking for someone to blame.
