Checked my bank statement and notised , Ntl have taken out of my bank £17.99 for internet services, but it should be £9.99 like we agreed.
So Ive been on hold on the phone for 15 mins (= £3 in phone charges) then the line goes dead !
So Ive paid £3 for nothing. And they are robbing me of my hard earned money.
Is there any one else I can go broadband with ?
I have my phone and internet with Ntl, but am too annoyed:mad:

Why did you pay to call them? Use this number 0800 0529403 which is free! Ring again and if necessary ask to speak to the retentions manager and you will get £9.99 for at least six month. Ask for a name and make sure that they put a note on your account about the retention deal. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Can also ring free from an NTL line using 150 (can use 151 for faults). Get's you straight through no listening to !!!!!! music for half an hour!
They've been a bit sneaky and only publish 0845 number, only got these numbers after a complaint and a written apology (and credit).
either ring this number or the 0800, last couple of times i've used these have got bill adjusted and a £10 credit for inconvenience.
Also by ringing retentions and asking how much notice you need to give to cancel your account there's a good chance they'll offer you a better deal on your phone"A bargain is something you can't use at a price you can't resist." Franklin Jones0 -
When we had problems with N T L we found a letter worked a lot better than phone calls.
When we rang they would agree to any thing we wanted, but did not carry it through.
One letter to the head office ( Midlands some where ) and we had satisfacion and a follow up letter afterwards to make sure.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0
