    Hi missy!

i've just had hot and spicy chicken fillet with chips (not very healthy, but very nice!) feeling much better than i did this morning :) OH and DS have had a lovely day fishing, nice for them to spend time together.

Have you tried H & M for maternity stuff I got some really comfy over bump leggings and a couple of nice tops from there?

Managed to wash and dry all baby's coloured clothes, think he could wear a different outfit everyday and still have clothes left over lol all stuff thats been given to me which is great :)

    xx

  • Hey Missy, sorry the heartburn is getting to you. H&M do gorgeous maternity wear, its right by the tills in our big store and you really want it when not pregnant!

Bella, based on your due date and pains make sure your bag is packed, my DS was 3 weeks early .

I'll ditto the H & M recommendations. I have a few t shirts from there which are actually long enough to properly cover my bump! I also popped into mothercare last weekend and they had maternity wear on sale BOGOF. I got some pyjamas ready for hospital and a nice top to wear out and about for £11.

I was back at work yesterday and had to come home and go to bed for an hour. Wish me luck with day two today...ha!

Have a good day all. xx
Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...

Hey my lovelies, sorry for being MIA! It was my 30th Birthday on Monday so have been out and about celebrating and have been staying at my dads, so no access to MSE. Had a lovely time. Am home now though.

A couple of things hit me whilst i was turning 30. 1. That I really dont have that long to get ready for when the baby gets here, so definitely need to rectify that in the next couple of weeks. and 2. my house is an absolute mess, so much so that if, god forbid, the baby did come early and I had to go straight to hospital I would be so so embarrassed if anyone had to come in my house and get my stuff!!!! Which is not a nice thought! I don't really need that extra worry. How did it get so messy and how did I get quite so messy?!

The downstairs is not too bad, I could invite people in and only apologise a little for the mess, but upstairs..... well.... you can barely see the floor in any of the rooms due to my decluttering that I was in the middle of last week that I never actually finished!!!!! So there is just crap everywhere! I'm not even exaggerating:eek:, I wish I was! Trouble is, although I really want it to be tidy and clean and lovely again, I just have no motivation to do it, I have done bu$$er all this morning, and am still in my Jarmies, and although I keep looking at the mess and feeling really bad about it, I cant bring myself to tidy it!!! What is wrong with me!!!

I really really want to be one of those domestic goddess types that has a lovely tidy home and bakes and makes things, and I know that I have the time to do it all but, I need to get my house in order first which just seems like a huuuuuge hurdle. Anyone know of any inspirational domestic goddess type threads, videos etc that I could read/watch to get me going? Am really in need of some help :o:eek:

Welcome back missy! I was starting to worry about you lol glad you had a nice time at your dads, and happy belated birthday :)

I cant suggest anything really because i'm stuck in a rut myself :( i'm so tired and in pain now there is just no motivation there at all, my house is quite clean and tidy, but I want it to be cleaner and tidier if that makes sense lmao I think maybe tomorrow I will make a small list of priority things to do and get them done that might encourage me to do more :)

DS back at school and OH back at work so i'm feeling quite lonely and the days seem to be lasting forever! On a positive note me and OH treated ourselves to the inbetweeners boxset OMG it is hilarious I havent laughed that hard in a long time lol

Thanks my lovely, oh bless you being in pain, I'm feeling very big and heavy and uncomfortable at the moment. I have made a list of things to do tomorrow, not a daunting list just an hour by hour of rooms that need doing, not broken into specifics as that is what I think demotivates me. Just laying on the sofa at the moment watching extreme parenting.

I know how you feel with the loneliness my dear, thats how i feel, OH has been away 2 weeks but most of my time has been spent with other people, where as now im suddenly by myself, well apart from baby kicking away.

Tomorrow I WILL get up and start my list :)

    Belated Happy Birthday

Missy, you really need to stop putting so much pressure on yourself. Rather than setting yourself mammoth tasks / lists that you don't feel like doing, just do a little at a time. Each time you go upstairs take up something that shouldn't be downstairs. Each time you walk past a room upstairs that is untidy, spend 5 mins tidying or pick up 5 items or something. Set yourself manageable targets and you'll soon see the progress. It'll also stop you feeling rubbish for not completing big lists of stuff.

    Take it easy ;)
One step at a time ;)
