Thanks hopeful
I know you're right.
I am very proud of myself, and don't know where this inner strength or this inner calm has come from, but OH has just phoned and told me that he cant have all the time off he was promised over the birth of the baby.... they have now decided its a problem.... I kept very calm did not get cross, and am just leaving him to try and sort it as much as he can. Worst case scenario baby is due on the 17th Nov OH is home on the 1st until the 27th Nov. what will happen if its late or if I have a c section is anyones guess.
OH was meant to be home from 1st Nov right up until the end of Jan but now the best we can hope for is OH being home 1st Nov until 28th Dec, which I am happy with and I know is a very long time at home with me. Im just cross that OH was promised until the end of Jan, which he was offered and didnt ask for about 3 months ago, then they say Oh actually it includes christmas we cant cover your shifts now!!! Grrrrrr!!!
But I did really well I didnt say a word I didnt get cross, I just stayed calm and took it all in.... I think this not working no stress thing is much better for me, nothing feels like its too much or that I can't handle it. Maybe its the way forward.0 -
Well done, you! :T I found i was definitely a better person both times I was pregnant - shame it didn't last ha ha!!
With some situations you have just got to look for the positive, which you've done. It's still a reasonable amount of time off. It's also something you can't sort out for OH, he's got to try to do that himself (if anything like my boys' dad was - good luck with that one
)
Pregnancy is a special special thing, enjoy it as much as you can. As you've probably realised the time just flies by.One step at a time

I think its more the not working and no stress..... feeling that ive finally become the person I have always wanted to be and to have what Ive always wanted..... a family.... it makes me happy and realise what I've got and to not stress the small things that cant be changed. Im hoping this mindset will stay as I very much like it
I think OH is pleased with the new chilled out me, previously I would have chewed his ear off for a good ten minutes before I would have calmed down!! 0 -

Bless you. Everytime you do start to worry about the state of the house, how much/little you've done, just read back what you've written there. Off to bed. Half a day's work to go til the weekend
Sleep well

Hi Guys,
Just stumbled over your thread - congrats to all you pregnant ladies with imminent due dates!!! With regard to the getting organised and house in order comments, have you heard of Flylady? its an american site, but really quite inspirational, and free to join, daily emails keep you motivated, and lots of helpful stuff on routines etc. & working with a timer ie set it for 15 mins and tackle a job you've been putting off for ages. I think it really helps (me anyway) to do things this way, otherwise jobs just seem too overwhelming, then you can't face them, which compounds the problem lol!
Anyhow, just a thought - hope it helps.;)

Hey Peetzil, lovely to meet you, I think I have vaugely looked at flylady but got a bit scared and ran away, might take a little peak for some inspiration tomorrow, the 15 minute thing does indeed sound like a good idea. Thanks hun.

Morning

Well done for not getting cross missy! its not OH's fault and like you say you cant change it so no point in getting stressed. I'm guilty of being a stress head at times lol I am much calmer now than I used to be so is OH
so thats good.
I'm feeling rubbish this morning got up at 2:00 with bad heartburn and drifted back off to sleep on settee about 4:15ish so OH wouldnt bring the hoover downstairs for me, he has given me orders to rest, he said we can do the dusting and hoovering when he gets home
I'm still gonna have to clean kitchen but that shouldnt take to long. And last night I found a bit of energy and did some ironing wooooo!!!
have a good day all and dont push yourself to much missy

Hey Bels, bless you not sleeping, You've not got long now at all have you, you really need to be resting, well done OH telling you to.
Well I didn't get up stupid early, but I have just done an hour of tidying, have bleached the toilets, put a white wash on, unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher, tidied the living room and put my cards up. Going to sit for a while and watch homes under the hammer, then do some more. Helpful is right, baby steps!
Well done you on doing the ironing, I did some both mornings I was at my dads, and found it very therapeutic, might stand and do some in the lounge later with a film on, will check what films are on today
x0 -
you've done plenty already today its still early!
I have 2 weeks to go, waiting to hear from midwife I had some bloods taken yesterday because my BP was up a bit to usual and protein in urine, so she did the bloods as a precaution, she said if I dont hear anything just to go to normal appointment next week.
I have unloaded and loaded dishwasher, washed up bits that cant go in the dishwasher, wiped round in kitchen, entered some competitions, had a hot chocolate and just watching NCIS
Still need to have some dinner, empty the drier, put washing away, might print off some money off coupons and I possibly might do a bit of shredding this afternoon (it really needs doing and isnt to strenuous!)
I have a few films on sky planner for me and OH to watch, just need to get round to watching them now lol

hey bella hun, just sitting down for some lunch watching 3 in a bed. I've ironed nearly 20 things, put the washing on the line, stripped the bed and put the sheets in to wash.
Have lots more ironing to do this afternoon, but I'm quite liking it.... oooh I love NCIS! x0
