Hello, sorry it has taken me so long to post my update, it has been manic since I've been back!
Well Venice was AMAZING, I loved it, it wasn't cheap but it wasn't mad expensive as we stayed in an apartment and were able to make dinner sometimes and we had a terrace with an amazing view so we sat up there in the evening after we had been out and about. We went on a gondola, was so romantic, we also went to the other islands too and bought some mouth-blown glass, got some fantastic pictures too.
Pregnant wise well I am massive, my stomach is huge!! I coped really well in venice, the heat was a bit much and the soles of my feet were a little sore from walking but nothing major, and the flight was ok, baby was really lively think it has something to do with the pressure..... I'm 27 weeks now, and me and OH are going for our 4d scan today, am majorly excited about it, I just hope baby is lively and doesn't hide.
I've had confirmation of my maternity leave through and I can't tell you how relaxed and happy I am not having to go to work, haven't been this happy and chilled out in a long time!
Quick budget update, Ebay sales are still going strong, need to list some more stuff though, as always! Have also registered for my next Open University course, so that starts in October. Am still pretty much on target for paying off my credit card too, although the interest is just huge, going to look again at getting the 0%card barclays has offered me and see if even after the transfer fees its cheaper.
Right well I best go and see if OH is awake and take him a cuppa as he goes away tomorrow
Speak soon my lovelies.0 -

Hi Missymoo, I've been reading oyur diary as I'm in a similar position. Pregnant, credit cards and impending reduced income!
You're doing really well and your Ebay endeavours have inspired me to see what we have to sell. Unfortunately we decluttered when we moved so a lot of stuff was chucked, but I have found a couple of items so thank you :-)
Glad you enjoyed Venice too. Well done going on holiday at this stage. I'm 31 weeks and no way would I go to a hot country at the moment!0 -
Hello Bascadette, lovely to see you, and lovely to meet another pregnant person

Well OH has gone and I'm just sitting here consoling myself with a cup of tea. Am away tomorrow for 5 days camping with my sister which should be fun if not a little tiring with her boys.
Huuuuge confession to make, went and spent £64 yesterday on 4 knitted dresses, am very tempted to take them back, they're not maternity they are just a bigger size than normal in the hope that when I'm not pregnant I can wash them on a hotter wash and they will shrink a bit........ but dont know if I actually NEED them right now..... have 28 days to take them back so will decide.
Budget is not going quite to plan, I have still managed to save the correct amount of money which needs to be paid off the CC (not counting the dresses as Im pretty sure Im going to take them back) but the interest on the CC is mounting up way faster than I thought, and I managed to get bank charges due to ebay being really slow at transferring the paypal money and dd's being returned!!!! grrrrr!!! So need to get my ebay head on again and sell the rest of the things waiting to be sold to make up the difference!!! Am determined to get it all down asap, hate having it looming over me.
OK so list for today:
Washing
Try and find 0% card application form
Go through budget AGAIN and see how short I am due to interest
Have a little tidy up
Have a look at what taking on holiday tomorrow
Sort out knitting
Download some books ready for next week
Another thikng I need to do is have a look at how we can make our household spends less, Need to look at the food budget as it is out of control, also our energy useage appears to be massive, even when we're not here!! Our energy monitor shows it at 2/3 bars when theres no one home! Will switch everything off at the plug and see if that helps at all!
Right going to drink my tea now, wish I had some chocolate, think I might read the paper and look at houses I can't afford!
Speak soon

ok haven't done very much am still skulking about after OH leaving.
Have found my barclay card application, although its waaaay out of date, so hope they still accept it. Can't find my budget sheet anywhere!! Not good, this had how I had worked everything out, have no idea what is what now!! Will have to keep on looking!0 -
finally found my budget thing, could really do with putting this on a spreadsheet or something!
I THINK I can pay off my loan this month!!!!!!! Need to ring them up and see what a final payment would be, but think I can do it, still owe £575 on the CC!!!!!!! £50 more than I'd thought but again THINK I can pay a big chunk of it off, will leave about £175 left on it though..... really wanted to get it all paid off by my birthday...... which is 2 weeks away, wont get paid again before then....... I soooo want it to be all paid off and be debtfree by the time I'm 30..... So I am going to take a deep breath and ebay my socks off
that is the only answer I think, along with taking those dresses back. Right need to find the number for Santander, wish me luck! 0 -
grrrr obviously banking isn't important and call centres are not open on a sunday! Got all excited then at the thought of paying it all off!
Just had a quick look in the spare room to see what stuff I have to put on ebay...... hmmmm need big easy sell stuff.....0 -
hey Missy , 27 weeks already!!!!! Glad you had a nice hol xx0
