That's weird that's where I went and got perfect advice for student finance and yes I did sign up to say that- I cannot stand narcissistic behaviour whereby a person believes they are so much better than others to the point they feel they should speak to another person in such a horrible way, stuck up and arrogant way when all they need is help. Sorry to say it but that guys a loser and someone needed to let him know.0

Evidently your problem with Student Finance was something fairly simple. The advisers at CAB have lots of common sense, but they do not have specialised knowledge of the regulations, and would not be able to help in a complicated case like this.
Taiko, OTOH, does possess specialised knowledge. On this thread he has quoted the precise regulation that means that this poster is entitled to funding: something that even a solicitor would have been unlikely to know about. He has given equally accurate and helpful advice to many others on this board, myself included. I think we could cut him a little slack if he allows his irritation to show at what was, in fairness, a rather silly response.0 -
I believe the previous response I made to this was deleted, possibly on a copyright claim for the quote I borrowed from The IT Crowd.
In any case, I'm not too bothered. In any case, a solicitor/CAB is likely to only be able to resolve basic issues. Complicated ones they need specialist knowledge of, and I'm not really aware of any organisations that will do that.
For complex cases, myself or another current or former assessor with vast experience is likely to provide a better answer. As I've said previously, I've dealt with CAB over the years and they've not been able to deal with anything complicated. Likewise, I have known a solicitor to be employed by a student to take on case. Feeling that was still ongoing after 4 years, with them still not being able to take any legal action because they had no case when they thought they did.0 -

I didn't report it, but it did turn my stomach, and even though I'm a big fan of the IT Crowd I didn't recognise it as a quote. Maybe it needed more context.0 -
