Can somebody help me out ? Student finance !

I would be very grateful if someone can help me out on what I can do to get student finance pay my fees. I have been getting funding since 2008.
Till last year when I was told that I am not qualified to get my funding for my last year at University. I have got a limited leave to remain in the country before I received my first funding through my local authority, and the second one too. But last year, I got a dirvorce with my wife who is an EEA nationals, due to the divorce, I was told that I am not qualified to get funding for my last year at the University. Even though I got my Permanent residence card last year.
I have been living in this country for the past 8 years now. I can understand why I should not be qualified for funding for my last year. I have gone through 3 stages of appeals, and still they said that I am not entitle to get funding for my last year. I have refered the case back to my local MP which told me that he is going to contact them.
I always sense in my mind that, it is not right. Something is wrong somewhere with these people ! It says on their website that : You have to be living in this country for at least 3 yrs before you applied for student finance which I was. Now, I am having my exams at the university, my student account has been disable because I have not pay the fees. I have got a permanent resident, and I believe that I should not be denied this right. I have never seek any benefits from government or by other means. I still dont get it?? Can somebody help me out here ?

Can you give other posters a hint as to the reason they say you are not eligible? Have you just been made aware of this, or did you receive notification at some point (when?) that you had qualified for a student loan, maintenance loan etc.0

Yes, I will give you a hint. I applied in 2008 and 2009, and I was given the funding through my local government. When I applied in 2010/2011, that was the time I was told that I may not be qualified for the funding for my last year.
1) Because I divorce my wife who is an EEA member.
2)Because I did not get my permanent residence before I started my first year at the University.
I was made aware of this since last year in the month of November I guess, and I went through all the 3 stages of appeals till March I guess.
After that, the case is now with my local MP .
So, the question that I am asking myself is that : even though I have my permanent residence after my first year should not mean that I am not qualified for funding? Another question that I am asking myself is that, why would they want me to pay for my first two years of (funding: fees loans, maintenance loans) that I received from them when they are not ready to pay my last year?
I would be very grateful if people can help me out on this. I have got alot of debt because of this. Rents, credit card loans etc..0 -

As an aside, please do not PM me if I have posted here that I'm looking at the query. It's a good way to get my back up, especially when I've stated I'm actually really busy right now.

Can gain ILR at any stage through the course, as detailed in Regulation 18(e) which states you become an eligible student from the following academic quarter, provided you meet the requirements of Schedule 1 Part 2 Paragraph 3(1)(a),3(1)(b) and 3(1)(c).
This seems to be the case based on what you have said. You will need to provide your ILR documentation from the Home Office in order to prove this. I'd therefore take the view, provided all documents were in order, that you are eligible.
I might not agree with things on this, but that is how it is.0 -

Taiko, I have all the documentation of my ILR. Is there any way that I can provide this to you.
