Wed 18th May - What small DFW things will you be doing today!?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:D
Goooood morning everybody - hope you're all well and happy on this hump day:T
No work for me today - have college after lunch...if I decide to stay at it...not made the decision yet, I can't decide arghhh:o I swing from really not wanting to continue and being happy with that to thinking I should not give up and keep going - set my girls a good example:)So, we shall see.....;)
Going to repeat what I said yesterday - DNMS where the devil are you?!? La E and I have spotted you've been having a read and thanking posts but we miss your cheeriness and enthusiams (Lord knows i need some at the mo:p). So come back:A
Right, time for my list:

I just can't quite decide for sure what's best - it depends on my mood:rotfl: In my positive moments I think 'yay I can do it, mustn't give up' then other times I think how much pressure it adds to me - but then I think my procrastination is the main cause of it giving me stress...so I can sort that:p:p
Told my girls last night and they both told me I should keep going:D DD1 is 14 now, starting GCSEs in Sept (actually, she's doing one early in June), so I feel I should set a good example and persevere.
Look - I'm talking myself into it:D And a lovely lady on my course (whose marks are excellent) has offered all her help - letting me see her work to just clarify what the assignments are exactly about and what the tutors are looking for...how kind of her, people have been lovely:)
Anyway - sorry all for hijacking the thread - I just need to talk about it, got no-one really here, the girls can only hear so much then switch off:rotfl::rotfl:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Morning lovely people - just wanted to pop my head round the corner and say coo--eee......will be back at lunchtime with a list

Morning everyone.
Pixie, not trying to butt in but I would say keep on with the course if it is either something you want to do or something that will improve your work/income. I`m having to do a college course and part of my job at the moment and I know it is a pain trying to fit it into a busy life but it will make me so much more employable afterwards. :grouphug:
Im off this morning, only one this week so have so have loads to do, must resist the lure of the internet and jigsaws!
I`m off to a docs check up in half an hour and whilst in town I have a cheque to pay in the bank (my wages from my other job, it`s just relief work but the extra money is all going in my house moving fund.)
Today I must:
Washing machine on, will line dry after as THE SUN IS OUT :j
Get a couple of essentials only up town.
Walk dogs.
Go and pay vet bill. Defo not a LSD!
Must list something on Ebay. I seem to have lost motivation with Ebay lately amd struggle to find the time, have a huge pile of stuff to go on too.
Check Onepoll when I can.
Email my friend in the Nederlands.
Exercise friends horse. (weather dependent, I hate riding when it`s windy!):o
Meals from home.
Go to work at 6pm.:(0 -
Morning all
It's a bit grey and gloomy, I really didn't want to get out of bed today!!!
Pixie - I have to echo everyone else's sentiments and say stick it out, I'm sure once you've got over this little hump and are back in the swing of things you'll be glad you did... glad to see you're possibly feeling more positive about it today and still not discounting it!
dnms - what are you going to make with your prawns? YUm!
Candy - good morning!
Aria - lucky you getting to exercise the horse!

Hello All,

Here's my list:
- check online banking
- catch up on surveys
- check eBay (items are closing on Friday, not yesterday as I thought, must have got my dates mixed up)
- packed lunch
- dinner at mother in law's

- read stopping smoking thread. To quote some advice I saw on that thread, 'I have not stopped smoking, I am just not smoking today but I can have one tomorrow if I want'. I am not sure how this is going to but I am going to try, for financial reasons if for no other.
Have a good day all

Morning all!
Thanks to Pixie for starting us off I can only echo what others have said. It won't be easy but think of the sense of achievement at the end.
La E Glad you liked the blog post, made me feel all warm and fuzzy. I know what you mean about that comment, some people!
elsiepac 15 items is tiny but I think I might commit myself to project 333, which would more than double that very optimistic capsule wardrobe.
Good luck to compliments, hope the interview goes well. Gosh we are all job hunting at the moment aren't we!
Today I will:- [STRIKE]Walk to work[/STRIKE]
- Check bank balances
- Check surveys
- Leftovers for lunch
- Charge mobile and ipod at work
- Train down to London
- More interview research
I think that's it, seems a bit short I am sure that more will crop up.
Have a great day
