Doesn't the seller have to just prove attempted delivery to win an INR case?

A seller must prove delivery. Nothing else matters.

In a return, the buyer can show attempted/ refused or delivered to win.

Op your only easy hope, is to get ebay to see you opened the wrong type of case. If they allow you to open a INR then the seller needs to prove delivery, with a signature if over £150. End of.

    As above!!

And PHONE ebay! And if you get a stupid one on the end of the phone line, then phone again until you get one with common sense!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I had a search on the ebay help pages to try and find information about how to appeal, no luck so I had an online chat with a man called Colin who gave me a phone number to call. I said we had used the number before and had difficulty in making ourselves understood, so he gave me a link to send an email, so I will try that tomorrow and hope to get someone with some sense. I have to read bedtime stories now so it has to wait.

Op I shall be blunt as it has been said.

You should NOT e-chat nor email. YOU must telephone. You must ring until you get an Irish voice, then you have HALF a chance explaining you opened the wrong case. Do not elaborate, just say you made a mistake. Seriously, it is your only chance.

Did you pay by credit card? If so then claim back non reciept of goods off your credit card who will then just take the money from paypal.
