got one last friday from currys metro centre it was the display model(a couple of scratches on the stand but nothing great) not that really impressed with the picture using sky and some kids channels did not fit the screen using thr auto screen size and when changed to 16.9 it was too big. anyway going to take it back on friday will i be able to get my money back or will i have to kick up a fuss.
  • from the reviews i've seen its an ok tv at its usual retail price (around 1200), so at 500 makes it very good..

I went in a store tonight to by a lcd portable ..... and asked about this
as of tonight there is one of these left in the hounslow currys store and thats it in the the uk. Apparently they are clearing out one of their warehouses and if they have a few of an item left they bung it on the website, the lady in the shop told me it wasnt worth the drive as the resolution was not good !!
  • does anyone own one who can give a opinion on what they have seen?

Currys down our way have been telling customers that plasma displays are much much inferior to LCDs... There would be more chance my becoming pope than Currys staff giving an accurate appraisal of a TV!
    2 + 2 = 4
except for the general public when it can mean whatever they want it to.
  • i think i will cancel my order, the tv sounds !!!!!! and over priced at £512!

Same resolution as most of the other similar sized sets.

I watched it for ages in store and it looked ok to me. It was particulary good at showing little ghosting compared to the (I forget the make) TV right next to it. I presume that's becuase it has an Optronics LCD Panel, but I didn't look it up to know for sure.
