Your question has no basis in law so is pointless, please educate yourself, I am not your teacher.

In other words; yes, you are avoiding the question.

But it is clear they are not a police officer - it says 'POLITE' instead of 'POLICE' if you hadn't noticed.

What about someone sitting in their Vectra by the side of the road in normal clothes (plain clothes!) - are they 'impersonating' a plain-clothes officer, no.

No it is not clear. Having the one letter different in the same font and design as something that is designed to look like a police officer's uniform, is calculated to deceive the public that the wearer is a police officer.

You are providing our office with much laughter.

    The answer is...

Report it to you local Police and see what happens, we think they will go with Sect 136......

I fail to see what is so funny?

I don't have to report anything, it has already been dealt with.

Tell me what you understand about section 90 of the police act, or are you going to continue to avoid that subject?

Tell me what you understand about the Hardwood Export Regulations governing Ecuador and Peru and I'll think about it.....they are about as relevant.

Surely your not suggesting that it is acceptable for cyclist to ride on the pavements and break other laws, because drivers also break laws, are you?

No my point is why don't you nitpick about the illegal things drivers do every single day without a second thought? Stop picking on cyclists and "chav boy ravers" (sic) wearing polite hiviz tabards at their techno parties.
