What about Paris? easy to get to euro disney from there, 30 mins I think it was on the train and cheaper than staying there too.
I have been to Paris several time but don't know what's there for very little ones, but I'm sure google can answer that.

Thanks for the ideas guys. We're quite adventurous with our little one and have travelled quite extensively with him. Not quite sure why some people think a few hours flight is such a big deal with young children :)

Maybe if you'd given more information in your first and subsequent posts, telling us that you'd travelled extensively, instead of just writing this:

Travelling with hubbie and a 3 yr old.
you might just have had more relevant advice.

You didn't even mention flights until your second post - and that was after I'd said:

You've posted on the overseas board so I assume you're up for flying, Eurostar or ferry & drive.

An answer on a forum can only be as good as the question.

Fair enough, but most of those points have already been mentioned. In which case, why not just let the thread run it's course........... all this repeated ticking off the (relatively new) OP makes for uncomfortable reading.

Keep grinding that axe Pollycat. As I've said several times, I was looking for inspiration, you know, ideas.

How about Berlin? The Tiergarten is lovely in summer, there is a boating lake on it too and there is always the zoo if you like that sort of thing. There are also several lakes not far out of Berlin that have beaches. I don't have kids but when I was there last summer there seemed to be loads of German families having city breaks there. All the beer gardens were child friendly and had families in them.

Lisbon is also really nice, you could get the train to Sintra and there was a lovely park with bright coloured animals in it that I remember. The custard tarts in Belem are also fantastic, I'm sure a 3 year old would love them!

Actually, I WAS going to let it lie but as you seem to want to carry it on - we are not mind-readers on here!

    From your first post:
We didn't know that your 3 year old is a seasoned traveller.
We didn't know how far you wanted to travel.
We didn't know how long you wanted to go for.
We didn't know what your budget was.
We had no idea what part of the country you are in so no idea where you could fly from.
We didn't even know what mode of transport you were contemplating.

Didn't think it was that woolly a question ...

    Not that woolly a question?
    Don't be ridiculous.

Other people have kindly given me some brilliant ideas - are they mind readers? If you can't help, why not just ignore the post rather than consistently pickings hole in it? I was trying to being polite by ignoring you and that's what I intend to do from now on.

Blimey its the wooliest question ever, its woolier than a back combed woolie mammoth.

Here are some points that should have been in your op

    Where from
    For how long
    Define budget
    Etc etc etc
    phatbear wrote: »
But you still havent answered the questions, how can anyone help you if they dont know where from, for how long and how much you've got to play with, the 1st step to getting help is helping yourself

    I'm not the only one.........

ultimately people here love to help...but are more likely to do so if they have some level of confidence that their suggestions will be relevant - most here will have had experiences with taking time to make suggestions to have them dismissed as too far, too hot, not hot enough, too expensive, too inconvenient from where I live...after a few times of that sort of thing, people won't bother to reply unless they're reasonably sure that the suggestions they make will be relevant.

With more detail provided someone will get more responses as people can see the criteria and think 'I know what might work for them'...without much detail, most will just carry on to the next thread.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
