thanks kaz... OH is coming over to drop me off and collect and stay for the 1st 24 hours or so. I have my reflexology and massage switched to home visits, and my dad is staying on Thursday on his way from Devon to Norfolk. Friends and neighbours will drop in, cousins are coming over on bank holiday Monday... And you never know, my DB might make the 20 minute trip for the second time this year if he can remember the way :p but if you're heading down this way, give me a call and drop in for tea/coffee/lunch/a walk.... I promise not to feed you cake ;)

I am shattered. Hubby is away at the mo and was admitted to a hospital near him as his tongue and mouth swelled right up. He is fine, discharged now they think it was an allergic reaction to something (no idea what) and has been advised to keep piriton with him in case it happens again.
I, of course, was awake most of the night!

    Anyway list update:

Afternoon! Shopping done, washing on line, GP being watched and piles of paperwork slowly being sorted!

Ah... that was me on Friday before the fun (!) with the blocked rubbish chute. Sadly, some piles of stuff ended up back on the floor but at least it was a vacuumed carpet and the floordrobe had been rehomed. Having another go today as I'm sure there is stuff in the cupboard that can go on ebay... or to the charity shop

dear LL, I still have at least one box of stuff that needs to be unpacked after *ahem* years:o not to mention the stuff still at my mums...

short_bird - I think we may be rather similar!! I too have boxes to be sorted and several boxes in my dad's attic :o

Rain here, and I'm trying not to be grumpy about it as the water butts need it, but why can't it rain on work days only?

Lovely and sunny here, but very windy! Washing drying pretty quickly. Am guessing it'll rain at some point today but we haven't had the showers that were predicted ......yet!!

It is a bad sign when the house is so untidy that my usually oblivious OH notices and insists on helping :o

    HHI/HHC at 2.15 anyone?

Please note I have just skimmed, so hugs and congratulations as needed.

Ian, good to see you posting. I light a candle when I think of Diva, and it is nice to see the likes of Poohbear who hasn't posted here in ages still makes time to remember her too.

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • Oooh! The sky leaked lots and lots for at least a whole 20 minutes!

Minion decided to go and try to rescue the washing on the line. Just as it got heavier.

By the time she had got a towel for her hair and changed her T shirt, the sun came out again. :rotfl:

    WM on
    DW on
Washing back out on the line [snigger]

Cat bleurgh cleaned off shower room floor (good kitty, doing these things on easily cleanable surfaces)
Cat that went AWOL again last night (until he found his way round the front and caught me awake at 1.30am with his pathetic miaows) and is currently dozing in the armchair like he has never slept before, has been poked at. Several times, until he made lots of really wimpy moans and hid his eyes under his paws :D

Minion has been forced to clean up her cpra from the front room again. She is beginning to learn that I WILL make her pick it up if she leaves it there, so much so, she now starts as soon as I walk towards her brandishing a carrier bag :)

And I have realised that I need to buy new plates, as most have chips now. I usually throw them away or recycle under pot plants as soon as I see them (and always if I see a crack), but I won't have any left at the moment if I do that. I did see two rather nice sets in M&S yesterday - white china with blue stripes and blue earthenware ones with white insides. Hmmm. What extra can I economise on to afford some?

Was going to strim the lawn (don't have a mower yet and only need a teeny one anyway) but the rain has put paid to that. What a shame - but at this rate, I shall be losing the cats as they wander out there, only keeping track of them through the tips of their tails :)

Bah. Out of cucumber. I will have to get myself together and go round the corner to the shop at some point, or the planned smoked salmon, new pots and salad is going to be pretty bereft of salad.
