Had a lovely but rather blowy walk with S and Pip. Took a while to get home as had to go to the local parish council office and report the fact we saw 4 horses go down a steep bank, through a river and into a farmer's field of wheat rather than stay in their own field - apparently they've done it lots of times before and the owner doesn't seem to bother. So done my good deed for today!
New chap has taken over the greengrocers (was a bit grim in there before); S was really sweet and the chap gave us a bag of cherries. I told him S is going to be really good cos Daddy is away and he told S if he keeps being good he may find another little present for him in the shop. He's been in there 4 weeks now and is obviously looking to win new customers around; I'll def go back again as I'd much rather get local than from Mr S / Mr T.
Off to do school run in a mo but here's my list of jobs left for today:
Ironing
Menu plan and finish shopping list
Make bread tonight
