Seller wrote the wrong country on parcel?

Stop being obtuse, simmed. The item was ordered from the USOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

I'd view writing South Wales the same as writing a county on my address, and I always put my county in.
OP, if she did put the postcode on, it probably will arrive at your door eventually. But, there is a chance it won't, so I'd accept the refund just in case, as it is her error to presume the PO man knew where you lived better than you.0 -
RM don't really want counties, South Wales, Scotland, etc. included in postal addresses. Put your postcode in here to see how they prefer your address to beI realise it's another trolling post from you, but maybe it was because they live in South Wales ?
Maybe the place they live has another variant in North Wales ?

This avoids complications and confusion. There was a post a while ago about an item to Northern Ireland where the PO who should have known better wanted to charge European rates.

RM may not want counties, however when you put your address into ebay it asks for your County.0

take the refund.
what's most likely to happen is that the item will get to Australia, they will then probably send it back to the USA rather than assume it is for the UK (depends how closely they look at the item and remember, the post offices are receiving millions of items each day...). The US post office should return it to the original sender in the US. Perhaps they can then let you know it has arrived back to them and you can repurchase then.
If it happens to turn up with you, then be honest and pay them then.
The key thing on addressing is postcodes and when sending internationally, to make sure the country is noted on the bottom line. The link posted above is a good one.0 -

That's one thing when you're sending UK to UK, but as the seller was in the US, they probably find the country quite important."There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -
Thanks for all replies
Re-reading see my post wasn't clear...The parcel did have UK on it originally after South Wales and she would have had my address from both Etsy and Paypal, but the post office told her UK was wrong so she scrubbed it out and put Australia. She is an experienced seller so maybe she just had a doh moment, but anyway I've had a refund, but told her I will pay if it turns up. Thanks again0 -
I wouldn't bet on it not getting to you, actually. As soon as it gets to Aus they WILL know it's a UK postcode; Australian postal codes are nothing like ours, and Aus Post are pretty savvy - as well as very helpful.
I lived in Australia for a while, and I sent something to the UK - but forgot to put 'UK' on it, and didn't send it international post, either (wasn't in the habit of remembering I lived abroad!). It arrived in the UK, less than 2 weeks later.
If the US postal service don't realise the mistake and deliver it to Aus (very possible!), there's a good chance Aus Post will forward it onto you. Would love to know if it reaches you!
KiKi' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -
I will let you know Kiki
It was posted on the 13th so if it does we will see how long it takes (fingers crossed) 0
