Sold a car from Carcraft that has been clocked

the loan agreement shows that the product is toyota avensis and even the NAC guarantee is documented on the agreement. I dont think i did use a credit card at the time of purchase, and on the hpi is shows that there is still outstanding finance on the car, so there must be a link to the car through the finance company, or am I being an idot??

I was told at the time of purchase that the car had a full service history (not) and that they had carried out all the checks necessary. I received no documentation at all with the car, they even had to come to my house the next day with the logbook. At no time was I informed of any mileage problems.0

they told me when I phoned them about this matter that they HPI all cars befor they buy them, as they would not like to get one that was, cut n shut, tampered, or clocked0

Its not been clocked.... Its an admin mistake somewhere.. Car dealers probably see it very often.
A quick check and some common sense can tell its not right.
As for them checking cars. If you had done your homework you will have found this normal.
My sister bought a car from them 2004/2005 and it had several bulbs not working as they handed her
the keys. It was the only place she could get a car on finance though.
Lots of websites about carcraft.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

^^ As above it has not been clocked (on the info you have provided). What outcome are you after OP?0

The trouble is, even though it is clear to most people that the car has not been clocked and a genuine mistake has probably occurred, it still shows as a discrepancy on a HPi Check. This could have ramifications beyond just the OP's peace of mind. As has already been established, a potential buyer has discovered this and may affect the sale, or an insurance valuation on write-off will be affected (any excuse to give an insurer to bring down the payout). The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0

Funny story I have just been informed that the NMR was not part of the HPI when I bought my car, Funny part is the NMR has always been part of the HPI as it is owned by them.0

And they have been since the nineteen nineties. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0

Perhaps they are not being as "clear" as they should? The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0
