Hi everyone,
I had a great day out yesterday at the radio 1 gig although the weather was carp and I spent way too much on beer! (although the tickets were free so kinda MSE) It was good to just do something with my OH for once instead of trying to save money. Today has been a chill out day. OH is cooking a roast dinner as I type and the washing machine has just finished so I can hang it out on airer. I`ve checked Onepoll but nothing going. Still to do:
More washing! (my dirty pile is mountainous!):o
Walk pooches.
Check Onepoll again later.
Try to find motivation to list something on Ebay.

Hey everyone
Kind of new to all this MS thing and its a bit late to say what I am going to do....so I shall post what I have done!
I have sorted out all our utility bills / bank statements etc (£186 Gas refund yay:D)
Did a proper shop at Tesco. (DH and I tend to shop on an as and when basis at about £25 a throw. One week shop at Tesco £69 and a £5 off fuel voucher which is great as I claim alot of work mileage so will try to take advantage of money off)
Addressed the creditor mystery! Post the letter tomorrow at work.
Only little things but I am hoping to become a bit better at managing money. Can I ever learn this budgeting lark? So far it's not looking promising

Hi everyone and Happy Birthday Ixia
I haven't posted on these threads before, but after noticing my to do list for this weekend matches quite a few peoples postings, I figured I did have the right to post!!!
Here goes...
[STRIKE]Dark wash[/STRIKE] done
[STRIKE]White wash[/STRIKE] done
[STRIKE]Hang all up to dry in utility (warm and teeny in centre of house - perfect!)[/STRIKE] done
[STRIKE]Attend tutorial for OU in Bristol - £5.50 parking
[/STRIKE] done - really annoyed as stupid car park has gone up in the 5 weeks since I was there last and now £6!!!!! Grrrr!!!
[STRIKE]Work out meals/create shopping list[/STRIKE] done
[STRIKE]Finish OU financial support app for Oct course[/STRIKE] done
[STRIKE]Print above[/STRIKE] never ended up doing this - however will do in work tomorrow so no printing cost!
[STRIKE]Do perishables shopping[/STRIKE] - £15 done - £10.13 but forgot milk
[STRIKE]post financial support app while there[/STRIKE] as above forgot to print but will post at work tomorrow after using their resources
[STRIKE]Also while there pay money into current a/c to compensate for overspend - £28[/STRIKE] (turns out the Post Office shuts at three... I had assumed 5 and arrived there at 10 to 5. Now will have to go Monday lunchtime at work and waste petrol. Grr)
[STRIKE]Lunch of something[/STRIKE] hadn't planned but found sweet potato and spinach dahl I made a few weeks ago in the freezer, so had that
[STRIKE]Tweak budget for June....... again[/STRIKE] done
[STRIKE]Change S/O's to savings and ISA for June on online banking[/STRIKE] done
[STRIKE]Make soup for tomorrow lunch from all veggies that are going a bit mank in fridge![/STRIKE] done - made two portions so that's Monday lunch for work as well!!! :A edit, my dad ate the spare one so bang goes that one!!! :rotfl:
[STRIKE]Do a good portion of OU work[/STRIKE] did some, not loads. ho hum!
[STRIKE]Make breakfasts for Mon -Thu[/STRIKE] done, have my brown rice breakfast
[STRIKE]Make lunches for Mon -Thu[/STRIKE] done, have bulgar wheat with veg etc and feta/goats cheese on alternate days
[STRIKE]Try and make Sunday my first planned NSD
[/STRIKE]Rookie fail...forgot milk in my shop earlier so either have to hope I have enough and then be early enough for work on Monday that i can stop and get some, or I won't achieve this one - I happened to phone my mum when she was at Tesco so asked her to grab milk for me and paid her back. Also flaked almonds for my brilliant brown rice breakfasts. Total £2.76, however she said call it £2.50, so I gave her £2.56 which was everything in my purse except for the £28 I am paying into my bank account tomorrow. Darnit!
[STRIKE]Decline offer of going down to friends this avo due to cost of petrol (I currently live miles away from my work and my friends [basically my whole life] because of my bad money-related decisions in the past)[/STRIKE] done - 32 mile round trip worth of petrol saved
[STRIKE]List Stieg Larsson books on Green Metropolis[/STRIKE] done
[STRIKE]Submit assignment for OU[/STRIKE] done
Hope this is ok for a list..!!
Hope everyone's had a nice day!

Well, didn't acheive anywhere near as much as I wanted... it's these forums, I've become COMPLETELY addicted!!!
Rolling over to tomorrow:
1. Print OU financial support application for October course in work
2. Post it
3. Go to PO in lunch break and pay in £28 to compensate for overspending completely on Saturday
4. Do Section 2 of Unit 11 of OU, that should have done today!
5. Have a NSD
Night all, hope you did better than me
