i do get it, i bet they still dont class peppercorns as a condiment but as herb and spice

I know (and so does Geordie Joe - I think) that is the point we are arguing. Peppercorns are not a condiment.

You don't get it, the point of the thread is they don't class peppercorns as a condiment.

If you had got it, you wouldn't come in at this late stage and bet on something that was made clear in the very first post and has been made clear in just about all the other posts in this thread.

    Hehe...methinks a pepper is a fruit. ;)

Botanically speaking that would be correct. From a culinary point of view it is however a vegetable. Although I do understand that such a point of view might well start off another argument entirely.

If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

And can't you run some engines on chip oil? :D

No you can't run an engine on chip oil, you can however run it on biofuel after it has been processed.

More or less the same as what I already said, but I was referring to crude oil being processed into petrol.

TBH, I think this thread was answered on the first page. Pepper is a condiment, Peppercorns are not.
