Do you see pepper as a condiment?

You'll get the points, I quite often find the self scan doesn't approve coupons, for example Tesco sent out £2 off Huggies Super Dry that didn't scan because I hadn't bought the right product when I bought Huggies Super Dry. You tend to find that CS know about the problem and do it straight away x0

FWIW if you go to the Tesco website, and visit the:
Groceries > Food Cupboard > Condiments & Table Sauces
aisle, neither peppercorns nor pepper (nor salt) are listed. They're actually located in the 'Herbs, Spices & Salt' section.Stompa0 -
Lets see what CS say. I still think that it is a condiment. Most modern dining tables have 2 things on them, salt, and a pepper grinder.
That's funny about the cucumber!!!!Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

They may give you something as a good will gesture, but that won't mean they think peppercorns are a condiment.I still think that it is a condiment.
That's because you are thinking pepper and peppercorns are the same thing. Most modern dining tables have 2 things on them, salt, and a pepper grinder.
Yes but what is in the pepper grinder? Peppercorns, you don't get pepper until after you have ground the peppercorns.
You have a voucher that was valid for for pre-ground peppercorns and you bought unground peppercorns.0 -

Thank you for your email about your extra points coupon. Please accept my apologies for the delay in getting back to you. We always try to respond to our customers' queries in a timely manner and I’m sorry that due to high volumes of contact, this has not happened on this occasion.
I'm very sorry that you couldn't use your Clubcard coupon for condiments at the checkout. I too believe that pepper is a condiment so I can't understand why it wasn't accepted. It must have not been considered as a condiment by the marketing team.
I have added the 25 points to your Clubcard account for you as you have missed out on them and the coupon has now expired. I've also passed the detail on to the marketing team so that this can be addressed in the future.
Thank you for letting us know about this matter and if you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact me......
I'm very happy with this, although I was prepared to accept a negative also. So now you know, you can use a 'condiments' voucher for peppercorns whether or not you choose to believe that it is.:DFather Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

So, you told the CS you had bought pepper when, in fact, you had bought peppercorns. It must have not been considered as a condiment by the marketing team.
No, pepper will always be considered as a condiment by the marketing team, but you bought peppercorns which are a different thing. So now you know, you can use a 'condiments' voucher for peppercorns whether or not you choose to believe that it is.:D
Actually you can't can't use a condiments voucher to buy peppercorns, you proved that when it was not accepted.
What you can do, which is what you did, is to buy peppercorns then tell the CS you bought pepper. They will then think there has been a mistake and give you the points.
I'm sorry, but you bought peppercorns, but you have it in your head that you bought pepper and can't, or won't see that they are two different things. Although I suspect you can, as if you really thought peppercorns and pepper were the same thing you would have told the CS that you bought peppercorns.0 -

It depends how the supermarkets class pepper, i know from experience sainsburys had salt and pepper with the herbs and spices rather than on they're own little section called condiments. It should list on the voucher what is classed as a condiment.0
