Morning all :j
Bright beautiful day here, so wm is doing its thing, have 3 loads to do, first is in, OH's work clothes which I have to shake outside before washing due to the amount of wood dust in them.
Sistercas ESC = Eurovision song contest
which I shall be avoiding too.
BB loving the table and chairs :T
Lou, I used to suffer with terrible excema as a child sitting in a warm bath with Bicarb in should sooth it xx
OK OH is at the boot sale, dd still in bed, will leave her till 9, then get her up, she wants to pop to the local town as Paperchase have a £1 sale on, and she is as addicted to stationary as some of you lot are :rotfl:, will also do the usual hunt for a saturday job while we are there.
DD is off to a party tonight, one of her step brothers got married abroad recently, and this is their 'reception', the rest of the weekend dd will be studying.
I need to nip to Lidl for loo roll and washing powder, and have a good tidy through, dinner tonight will be the fahitas bumped from last night, ended up having a takeaway:T
Dr Who tonight, so will make sure dinner is done and dusted before then
Essex G enjoy the party xx
Have good days all xx0 -

Morning all
Another one here who didn't sleep well
damn cold. Although I am still suffering I do feel less icky today, hopefully will be gone by tomorrow.
Lovely start to the day here
OS wise - BM on, WM about to go on. Will need to go food shopping probably today - although I'd like to hold on til tomorrow, depends on how hungry my cold makes me feel today :rotfl:
Plans for the day include finishing off all my uni work. I haven't got much to do, just need to update one document with the feedback I have finally got from my lecturer on my last assignment. And write 500 more words for my assignment. I want it all finished today, so I can tweak it tomorrow, then print it all out ready for Weds.
I may see if the girls will come up my way for lunch, but won't hold my breath cos one of them doesn't like leaving 'her' town! I CBA'd to give up 3 hours of my day to drive to the next town, meet them, have a wander and lunch, but don't mind giving up an hour or so if they will come to me :rotfl:
Movie night at my neighbours tonight, toyboy will be there so need to make myself look pretty
Have a good day all

Morning everyone,
I had a bit of a lie in this morning as I am really tired, I think that the first week back at work without a bank holiday has worn me out and every evening seems to have been spent ferrying kids around to various sport clubs.
3 loads of washing to do today, 1st load on line and 2nd load in, 3rd is still in basket, hope that the weather holds.
OH went out to a pub quiz last night and came in way after I had gone to bed, he has gone off on his bike (being a MAMIL again!) this morning but he will be in a good mood as I have just found a winners medal by the kettle:rotfl:
Got lots to plant out in the garden and I probably need to make another vegetable bed as I am running out of room, is there anything that you can plant inbetween rows of potatoes?
Lou I hope that DSs excema clears up, my DS used to suffer terribly from it when he was a baby.
Right, I better get going in the garden.
Have a lovely day everyone:)0 -
Good Morning OSers!
LouLou2010: Poor little mite! Nothing worse than your child being in pain and upset. Hope you manage to find a 'cure' soon.
Just a quick lurk and post for me this morning.
DD is off to her Dads for the weekend and im gonna get on and paint downstairs. I planned on doing the living room and hallway but Mum and Dad are helping and think we could do the kitchen...possibly the dining room too-that would be great!! The weather is looking good so with windows and back door left open it should dry quickly :j
Not doing too much else really. Will be busy moving furniture to and fro all day. Not sure about meals yet either, will no doubt give in to a take away this evening with a bottle of wine. Gonna snuggle down and watch The Kings Speech and Harry Potter: Deathly Hallows this evening too,not in the mood to go out this weekend.
Hope you all enjoy your weekends xEmergency Savings #73 = £1,500/£2,000

Good morning all, yet another beautiful day here in the Garden of England.I intend to finish off topcoating the two smaller walls in the porch and vow never to buy inexpensive paint again. Doubles the work.I shall return to my beloved Dulux one coat .Still it uses up what I had and at least its not gone to waste. After that job is out of the way I am going to have a root through my recepies to make some cakes for the cake tins which are extremely bare at the moment (it will stop me going uneccessarily going to the shops. Also I will need to revise/update my freezer list which is magnetted to the outside of the freezer door..This afternoon I have a little bit of hand-sewing to do.Last year I bought a nice skirt for the holidays which is cool and flouncy in layers, only trouble is where its been in the washing machine the layers have come 'unlayered' ,so I have that to sew up.Its such a cool skirt to wear when its hot that I want to get it done utherwise I know what will happen I will forget to do it and then when I go on holiday I shall be cross that its not O.K. to take with me.Tonight I shall be going out to dinner to DDs as DGS is home from his adventures with his school holiday so I will hear all about that I expect.
My tutor loaned me the DVD of 'Made in Dagenham' to watch so I have that to watch to escape the dreaded Eurovision. My DD adore it and has never missed one since she was a little girl.Me it drives me nuts and I think I would rather sit and watch the cheap paint in my porch dry
:)
I hope everyone has a good week-end whatever you may do.
Cheers JackieO0 -
Good morning everyone :hello:
WM is on, but the sky outside is looking pretty grey. Needs must and the house will end up looking like Widow Twanky's laundry anyway! When we were on holiday, we met some South Africans who were appalled to hear that we didn't have a tumble drier "especially in your climate" and then even more appalled to hear that there wasn't enough space in the house, even if we wanted one! Thankfully another British couple were there to back us up!
Spag bol for supper tonight. I've got plenty of veggies to bulk it up and out, so there will be enough for another couple of meals. Always a bonus round here! I'll need to sneak into town to the nice bakery - DH loves their eccles cakes and I love their banana muffins and chocolate brownies. I'm not fussy... Yes, it would be alot cheaper to make them myself, but then I'd also eat them....
I found out yesterday that I have an interview on Tuesday, so I'd better go and prepare.
Take care all
