How are these idiots able to simply re-register again with such ease? This would not happen on any other forum.
Because unfortunately the way the current system is set up allows a person wishing to troll almost unlimited scope in the short term, registering literally dozens of multiple accounts using temporary email addresses, and even after the administration becomes involved the usernames created are often not disabled.

At present there is very little to deter the particularly persistent troll/trolls from continuing their campaign of abuse, other than the fairly meagre one that in a few hours their posts will be deleted and their current usernames banned, whereby they simply register a dozen new ones.

    Just ignore them

Trolls only hang around for as long as they command the attention they are so desperate to attract. Threads such as this that are entirely about them only feed them further.

Simply alert and ignore; they will soon tire and disappear :)

    Edit: as Webby posted elsewhere:
    ...
    4. Please remember that we have limited resources and that trolls thrive on attention. If more members reported them, ignored them and/or spammed out their messages, it would make things a lot easier for us all. Engaging with them only encourages them and makes our job that much more difficult....

What happens if someone quotes a user I have blocked? Will I not be able to see the quote?
