Which is what will happen anyway if somebody struggles to sit in the stands paying as an able bodied person instead so that they can sit with their children and family without paying double for the kids. For any dissabled person with more than two children with them plus a carer it becomes more expensive if they sit in the safe designated easy access dissabled seating section.
The charging adult fees for children of or with a dissabled person just makes no sense and is unfair."Life is what you make of it, whoever got anywhere without some passion and ambition?0 -

So what do you propose? All disabled people have to declare themselves at the entrance and submit to segregation on pain of not being rescued or being prosecuted for hindering an evacuation? Or just those with mobility problems? What if they're deaf and might not hear an emergency announcement? How do you intend to punish those irresponsible individuals who don't submit to segregation? For that matter how will you identify them, stop anyone walking with a limp? What about people who aren't technically disabled, but have sprained their ankle on the way to the game? Oh dear no, we can't let you in the stands, more than my job's worth...Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

They charged a price point for a service, the service as daska describes it is " safe designated easy access disabled seating section "" where staff in the event of an incident can evacuate all those in that area with the safety of the public and their own staff assured.
The clubs duty of care to their employees as well as the disabled is what is being selectively ignored. Clubs spend many thousands of pounds developing policies for these events, and many more thousands training staff to execute those policies, and signing them off as competent. The disabled are priority and are evacuated before the players / staff / etc.
Any disabled individual who for whatever reason chose to sit outside the designated area [ if they were allowed to do so ] would do so at their own risk and absolve the club and its staff of any responsibility for their welfare. All disabled accepting the offer declare themselves at the entrance and submit to segregation, that seems to me to be a very acceptable and preferred state of affairs in return for the priority help they are offered.
All disabled people who sit in the non-designated area submit themselves to non-segregation and are at the exact same obligation to be rescued along with the other 42,000 people attending who can't escape the mayhem.
Perhaps Elland Rd should completely withdraw their generous offer, they could save a fortune gifting provision that is not a legislated requirement and that way avoid being unfairly called discriminatory. Then the O/P and others could pay full price, and sit where they like with whom they like. Of course when it ' kicks off ' and the nuttas start flinging coins / fighting / fire / and a surge of bodies is created even the able bodied get crushed. The disabled stand no chance whatsoever, but that's ok its every individuals right to die for their beliefs. Just don't expect the club to send staff in to the seated area extract the odd disabled person exercising their right to be ' different 'Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. LOL, along with others here I exercise my right to be different 24/7. This is not about the "odd disabled person exercising their right to 'different'. We are different. That's why there is legislation to protect and support us. A lot of this is about attitude, but not about whingeing, not about 'the world owes me', just about challenging the all too common attitude that including disabled people should be viewed as something special. Personally I'm sick of being separated from my family because I'm disabled. I do and will continue to fight that separation. I have to accept it sometimes but I won't keep quiet out of misplaced gratitude when there is no sensible reason for the separation.Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan
