Email Delivery - Are some of us missing out?

Well yet again I have missed a grabbit offer (amazon free delivery). I was planning to buy a gift from amazon under £15 anyway so I jumped on this offer like a hungry animal the second it landed in my inbox. What a surprise, freebies all gone, this seems to happen to me every time.

Looking at a thread on the subject it was apparent that other lucky moneysavers were enjoying this offer a good 12-24 hours ahead of me.

Now I know the site has to send out a gazillion emails and this probably takes a good number of hours, so now I'm thinking they must be sent out alphabetically by email address. Now my email address begins with M so I assume all the A to K addresses get the offers ahead of me.

Martin or moderators, please shed some light on this. Maybe you could randomise the mailing list, or send it out starting with the Zeds occasionally.

I can understand your frustration. With 800,000 people now getting the email unfortunately some offers do go before everyone can use them.

Just to clarify what you said, the emails aren't sent in alphabetical order. While the email list isn't completely randomised the email's never sent in the same order.

Hi,

Just to add to what Andrea said, you can always find the tip linked to (scrolling) at the top left of the home page. It is put up there around about the time the first tip is sent out, so it may be worth having a look there early on Wednesdays.
