  • I did my test drive on 8th Dec and my points are still not showing on my nectar account. Is anyone else still waiting on thier points as well? I don't want to phone the garage in case I get the salesmans hopes up.

    For future reference the following info may help you with the nectar points.

    The dealers generally all participate in Nectar. The only ones that DONT are Pendragon dealers ie Evans Halshaw and now possibly CD Brammall and Reg Vardy as these were bought out by Pendragon.

    All nectar participants have to agree to purchase a volume of points and Ford are struggling to give theirs away hence the promotions.


    If you want your points then be honest with the person at the dealer.
    They only earn about 6k a year - The rest is on commission so if you waste two hours of their day they will not be impressed as they have a mortgage to pay and kids to feed as well.
    If you physically walk in and say i would like a test drive and my nectar points and the ask if you only want the nectar points say YES.

    The points come from Ford (not the individual dealers) so they are usually more than happy to give them to you.

    If you waste their time they are far more likely to say they dont participate or their machine is broken or any other reason they can think off to ensure your time has been as wasted as theirs.

    I know of cases where this has happened and someone who turned up and !!!!ed the sales guys off returned from their test drive to find a policemen by their car asking them about 2 bald tyres and and out of date tax disc.

    Honesty is definately the best policy.

    i have checked my nectar balance and my points still are not showing either, i contacted dealership and did not actually take test drive they said just to take in my card and they would swipe it ,which i did on 02.12.2006 i have contacted nectar and they say to allow 28 days which will be tomorrow i am getting concerned because i have never had a problem getting my points and now this is a big one and they have not credited,i have today contacted the dealership and spoke to a lady who basically said if card was swiped have to take it up with nectar but i was not given any confirmation that this happened,how do nectar look into this what is the likelyhood of me receiving my points if nectar take it up did anyone else get confirmation

    just for anyone that has not yet received their points contact nectar i did this morning as no points credited was told they would forward to senior operator to look into and i would either have points credited or they would contact me if any further info was needed i have just checked my nectar balance and they have already credited 10000 points under goodwill points i did not have any confirmation either but i contacted the garage to confirm i had taken my card in so i dont know if nectar have contacted them or not but who cares as long as i have got them was getting worried for a minute its the highest amount of bonus points i have ever had and thought it was going to be just my luck that they would not credit but maybe its going to be my lucky year !!!!!

    Not received my points as yet from visit to local Ford dealer 10/12/06...e-mailed nectar and apparently its 28 working days for points to credit so with Christmas etc won't be until 22nd Jan at maximum...have a till receipt though so not too worried yet!
  • I had to email nectar twice but points have been credited today eventually. So £100 to spend at Adams Kids.
