    Afternoon all!
Popped in to mums earlier, and had to sit in the car for 5 minutes to avoid being killed by the huge hailstones on way home! DS spotted me and rushed out to open the driveway gates, and got soaked to the skin in the process, so heating went on to dry the washing and his jacket and joggers!
Took mum to M&S, and in the spirit of CBA-ness that has taken me over today in readiness for nightshift this weekend was forced to buy a dine in for £10 dinner;), should really say OH bought it as I conveniently had his bankcard, its been confiscated to save some holiday spending money!

Hi all had a brilliant Friday and it was great to catch up on my old pal Matt.Apart from the fact his golden curls have dissapeared along with his skinny frame he was still the same daft chap I worked with all those years ago .We were jawing so much that I was late for my History class but my tutor was o.k..We had a rousing discussion about the relative merits of Babara Castle and her fight for not only women's rights but pensioners rights as well. All in all a great day and the sun is still shining
Ida Notion I'm glad I'm not the only one who get thrilled by seeing the river. From my study window I have a nice view across it, and can usually tell what sort of weather I am in for that day.I do have a thing for moving water ,probably from being born and brought up within sight and sound of the Thames.:D
I have dug another of my chicken curries out from the freezer for dinner tonight as I fancy something tasty.Still kept away from the shops but I will have to go either Sunday or Monday at the latest.Still my budget is doing well this month and I have few necessities on the list so it won't be a big shop:j
Hope you are all having a better day its the week-end again where do the weeks fly by to I wonder I am sure time seems to be speeded up at the moment .Tomorrow hopefully I will get the top coat on the two walls left in the porch and that will be it finished.
DGS Henry comes back tonight from his school trip I bet he will be full of it when I see him next.
Fingers crossed for DGS Ben he takes his R.I. GCSE exam on Tuesday. He has already done two of his science exams already this year and he has Geography and his Physic ones to do over the next couple of weeks. That will mean he will have done five this year, so next year he can concentrate on the rest as he is still only 15:eek: he is a good lad and determined to get on and is looking to join the Army as a career when he is 18 after his 'A' levels.he will go far that boy as he is quite bright.
Well time I got the coffee pot on for a caffeine fix after my exciting day.Take care all

    Hi Y'all,

The postman has just sauntered up the drive to deliver todays mail (it's 5:00pm!!!) Good job I haven't spent all day slathering to get my hands on that Inovations catalogue and the invitation to move to virgin media LOL

I'm manning the "This and That" stall at the church Summer Fayre tomoz, so I'm off to Mum and Dad's later to collect all their ol' tut, as I got rid of all mine at the Christmas Fayre:rotfl:

I'm hoping to pick up some plants this weekend to fill a few blank spots in the garden. The winter was so cold here, that tough old beggers that had been thriving for 20 years have curled up their toes and gone to the great cold frame in the sky. When Hebes complain it's a bit nippy, you know it's cold!

It's just started to rain here - let's hope me This's and That's stay dry tomorrow.

I'm the same with water :) I love the view of the sea and dock from my flat, and find water so calming.

I feel icky still :( full blown cold booo!

Today in work was soooo looooooong :(. Everytime I went to do something someone got in the way! But everyone was in a good mood so we had a laugh.

I had lunch with an ex-colleague today which was lovely and unexpected, she text to say she was nearby so I grabbed the opportunity to escape :rotfl:.

OS wise - not much, dinner will be a freezer affair if I eat at all (yday I was starving, not so today!). May do a quick tiday and put BM on tonight.

    Have a good evening all

I have set up a flexi account at Nationwide Building Society as they have an online ISA (or e ISA as she called it) that's paying 3% interest :) It's a higher rate than any of them in the branch. You can only pay into it or withdraw via this current account as a feeder account. Might be worth looking into if you can't find anything else with a better rate of interest (with easy access).

I have a ISA with Lloyds and have had for a while now never thought of leaving/opening one elsewhere but after today i think i'll look into it. Im saving a lot at the moment so really wanna get the best interest rate available...Thank you!! :j
I also started talking mortgages :eek: Feel so grown up! Im gonna need to borrow quite a bit but i also have a good deposit....plus they do 5% deposit mortgages, they arent as great as they sound but worth a look at with my Dad-i go to him about everything :rotfl:

    Nice one JG!

Just came back from visiting my friend and having lots of baby cuddles. You forget how wee and light they are.

As a bonus, she gave me a big plateful of a lovely Algerian dish called tle tle which the kids hoovered up when we came in all tired after the walk home.
