Happy bunny try https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1882/
Also if you want more browsing space then right click on the toolbar, you can remove or add buttons, but what i liked was the small icon option, also if you have a look for different theme you can find a more compact browser.
Also something i found very all-in-one gesture https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/12/, you can set it how you want, but the default is hold down right click drag your cursor left and release for back and to the right for forward, up a new tab and down for a new window, there are lots of other setting, i find it very handy for surfing.

I use google toolbar, but I have it positioned in the menu bar (I think that's what it's called). You can right click there and select customise, then just drag your google toolbar up. I remove the icons I do not want through the options in google toolbar. I'm not sure you can make it out properly, but the point is you can customise firefox to make it look the way you want it to.
