I'm so impressed with Firefox but,

I've just installed Firefox and it was painless and fast, but I'm missing the Autofil that was on my google toolbar.
I don't want to put Google toolbar on just for that, so is there an autofil on Firefox somewhere I haven't found

If you mean what I think then it is the google toolbar you want. So doesn't matter what browser you have the google toolbar would have to be installed for each browser seperately. It isn't a standard feature, I don't have it on Internet Explorer as I've never needed it (plus I don't like toolbars). Just download and install the toolbar again, this time for firefox."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

I won't bother then, as I swopped to Firefox because it takes up less room at the top of the screen, I don't like too much up there!0 -

It's the autofil that fills in forms for you, name address that sort of thing, but it was on Google toolbar.
I'm sure there must be some thing else that does it,0 -

Comparing firefox to IE7 on my desktop they seem to be about the same in terms of space. Anything else will be down to what the individual person adds. The small search box at the top right in firefox is also a feature in internet explorer 7 as well. Not much to choose between the browsers nowadays except personal preference."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

There is; google 'firefox 2.0 autofill hack'.
I would, however, advise against any auto fill; all your personal info is saved on your PC for all to get if 'they' want to. Just friendly advice......

I only want to have it fill in my
name address dob, that kind of thing, nothing like bank details

I had an autofill firefox extension, but I can't remember what it was called or where I got it. But one definitely exists somewhere.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

if you go to tools>options>privacy and tick ' remember what i fill in forms and search bar' you would only need to enter the info a few times and when you click in forms in the future it will bring a list of terms you have previously enterd for that field.
