I agree currant prices are scandalous ;)
  • I also noticed this 2 weeks ago. I phoned HO and they confirmed price was 64p. Returned to store 2 weeks later to get a refund but was refused - even though they scanned at 75p, while still marked 99p on the shelf.
BTW I'm sure supermarkets send out "scouts" to see who is selling what and at what price. Don't they realise if they keep the prices down, they'll get more customers.
    Happy shopping!

they have to make money since they're a business, if they kept them low they would be making a loss on them,

i dont think they send scouts out as such

If they don't, how do the know the prices of products in other supermarkets which don't publish their prices online?

My local tesco is full of price comparisons with lidl, aldi and morrisons, yet you can't find out their prices online (except for the special offers they publicise on their web sites)

They do send out scouts. (Or, they did when I worked there.)
  • Tesco Value Yorkshire Mix is yummy went up from 7p to 10p the Maths Whizes amongst you will estimate the percentage increase but now price is back down to 7p, worth buying for your Veggie or Meat eating Toadie moments.

Yes I went to get mixed fruit today too, and it had gone up to 99p bag (smartprice) usually around 60p, I couldnt believe it!!

Also noticed the frozen oven chips that used to be £1.12 per 1.8kg bag (asda brand) are all now £1.50!!

and the Richmond Irish Sausages have gone up from £2 to £2.48 today!

    It's depressing isnt it??:(
