I buy Raisins and the Tesco's raisins went up from 99p for 500g to £1.59 which is a 60% rise...

The 2 x 500g bags were always cheaper than buying 1 1kg bag...so there was always something wrong...

Maybe that link was the reason why your sig was removed.

I don't know anything about the Energy Saving Trust, but I've just had a look round their web site.

If it is a charity, then it's the only one I've seen that doesn't say it's a charity, or display it's registration number.

It doesn't even mention it's a charity in the "About Us" page, instead it describes itself like this "The Energy Saving Trust is the UK's leading impartial organisation helping people save energy and reduce carbon emissions."

We were quite shocked at just how much the prices of many of the things we buy regularly every week have shot up in the last month or so. We usually use Sainsbury's, but today we had a look round Aldi to see if we could get most of the things we need and will do our next weekly shop there. It'll be interesting to see the difference in what we spend.
I've always looked at the Aldi/Netto/Lidl leaflets to see what's on offer, but never really considered them for a full weekly shop until now.

Give it a couple of weeks and Tesco will have a "special offer" on them.

Grudgingly bought raisins and sultanas in Asda today as I needed them - showing as 99p on the shelf however went through the self scan till at 64p so I'll be back tomorrow for some more. Don't know if it's nationwide or just my local (Cumbernauld)

I buy raisins for the blackbirds (I know, call me sad ) and I couldnt believe the price rise this morning - they will have mixed dried fruit instead this week as that was still 64p (Tesco)

We noticed this at the start of the year with SunMaid raisins in Sainsbury's. They were £1.79 for 500g tub, then the price went to £2.79 and now they are £3.50!!! Needless to say we no longer have sunmaid raisins in this house.....

I forgot about this, but I noticed today that the sultanas had gone up to 99p in Morrisons.

The mixed fruit and raisins were both still 64p, but they were both out of stock. Be interesting to see if they go up when they are back in stock.
