I'd also like to know the answer to this question, is it calculated on a daily basis?

Have 14K to move so NSI index linked for me now - although have already opened a Hallifax Reward saver @ 3% if you have a current account, in anticipation.
Same for me - cycle £1k in and out of the current account gets you £5 per month and also the immediate access saver @3%. Pretty hassle free! :D
I've got a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.

Interest is calculated daily and paid monthly.

So with all the discussion has a consensus been agreed as the best thing to do with the 21k in the Vantage accounts after 27 June.
And when/if should any transfer take place?

    Ta.
It's your money. Except if it's the governments.

If you weren't successful in getting an NBS account, then I'd move 6K into NS&I and if you've already maxed out there I'd stick with an easy access Santander 3% http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/savings-accounts-best-interest#easy (until something better appears, like another NBS offer).

Thanks, I know it sounded a bit daft, but just wondered if there were any conditions to keeping the current account "with Vantage" upgrade.

When I asked LTSB about non activity on the Vantage accounts, I was told that if there wasn't any activity on it for "a while", it would be suspended. When I asked them if "a while" is around a year, they said about that. I'm moving what funds are to be left with LTSB into the Incentive Saver (having put max in ns&i), and will be leaving £2 in each of my 7 Vantage accounts, with standing orders of £1 rotating around to keep the accounts active, just in case I ever want them again (it was such a pain trying to get the 7 open!).
