Yes, it will say what type of access it is on the deeds.You really need to clarify whether they have the right of access on foot or vehicular access, as per the original deeds (yours and theirs). You can download their basic deeds from the Land Registry for £4.
Mine specify that my neighbour is allowed pedestrian access and to wheel a small barrow around.
The route he is allowed to take through the property is also shown.0
